Been a while since I have done searching but I am running low on SPP. I used to search on GunBot but that seems not to work anymore. Does anyone know of good searches for powder/primers?

Gun shows. I've seen a lot of primers at gun shows. However, cover your eyes before looking directly at the prices. I was at a large show two weeks ago and saw prices from $100 to $200 a brick.
Now Midway had LRP two weeks ago at $79/brick plus hazmat and shipping. but today who knows. Ya just have to be there when it happens.

I ordered the above last Wed (13Apr) and got a comfirmation right away but lady on phone said they were running behind and they should be sent early this week. Getting a bit anxious and wondering if I have been scammed.
Capital Cartridge out of Houston?

Yeah, I can never tell about them. I ordered reprocessed brass from them some time ago and it wasn't what I was use-to ... there was some scrap mixed-in, but I did receive it in a fairly timely manner I just had to do a little work tonget it right.

I think they're legit, at least they were at the time. If they forced payment by PayPal or money order or bitcoin ... I'd worry. They do accept payment by major credit card so I think they're legit and I think they've been there for awhile. My cousin down in Houston recommended them to me at the time ... pre-pandemic.

Crazy times we live in huh. If they come-through that's a great price these days ... not great by old standards but definitely great by new standards - and it makes us wary and nervous. I would worry but let us know will you please?

Also go to your past sources (Midway, Midsouth Shooters Supply, Powder Valley etc) and set up notifications when products come back in stock.

A buddy bought some primers off them, no problem. As others have said, look at their forms of payments. Finally - they are communicating! You should be good to go.

Good to know that Capitol Cartridge appears legit. Thanks for feedback guys.
Pricy for SPP but it doesnt look like they are going to get any cheaper any time soon.
I'll share some with local reloaders as I won't ever use 5000 primers.

My first order shipped in about 2 business days and got to my house within the week.

My latest order was placed on the 10th and I got notification of Shipment yesterday (18th) but that was only the shipping label being created. I expect UPS to receive it today and to get here by the end of the week...depending on if UPS is going to deliver over the weekend.

They've been in business a while and the fact that they accept credit cards should offer some peace of mind

I have had 5 tabs open on my phone for various places, and will refresh frequently to see what has come in.

That's how I got LRPs and powder a while back, and how I just got a brick of SPMPs 5 minutes ago. Only after that did I go to the thread here on THR to post about it, and found some else already had.

Do you have to sign for the primers shipped from Capitol? I've got some coming on a day I intended to do something else.

Just scored 2K of CCI SRM primers from Brownells thanks to the thread at the top of the reloading forum. $85 per 1K was high but I have a lot more .223 to load for my AR’s to bring up the quantities I want to store so I had no choice.

I certainly won’t pay that price for any LRP or pistol primers though….

I did not.

My regular UPS guy just leaves them by the front door and I get an email notification. If you don't want them delivered, you can have them held at a hub for you to pickup later

As long as its not a requirement to sign, my UPS guy will leave them. Was thinking that perhaps because its a Hazmat material it might require a sig. Thanks for feedback.

Capitol Cartridge is a legit company.

I bought 1,000s of pieces of brass from them over the last 18 months. A local guy bought the “Ginex” primers, $499/5,000 recently. He didn’t want all 5,000 so I bought 2,000 from him, a fellow THR member.

He got them within a day of the time they said they would arrive.

I don't think any of my HazMat stuff, powders or primers, has ever required a signature

I had Fed-Ex tell me I needed to be home to sign for powder recently.

Then the next Fed-Ex delivery of powder, from the same vendor, I asked the guy if I needed to sign and he said, “No.”

Makes no sense.
