Protestors march against more secure U.S. border

BTW-In most latin countries...illegal immigrants are dealt with shall we say "harshly". They realize the situation, but its about what THEY can get out of it FROM US.

That's an excellent point.

There is nothing even remotely cruel, unusual, or even all that different from the illegal immigration laws of most democratic nations (not currently involved in widespread civil unrest, at least) in the proposed bill.

I'm not saying we actually start cutting illegal's fingers off, but we should at least have regulations and enforcement on-par with the rest of the free world.

A wide open border with promises of unsubsidized welfare sure as hell isn't going to cut it. I have four mouths to feed, and one job to pay for it. I'm not paying to feed non-citizens. Especially when they DEMAND I do so.

Also, nothing against Catholisism, but we are talking about roughly 1 million immigrants a year who are Catholic (and adhere very closely to the will of the Vatican at that) and therefore don't believe in condoms and abortion. Not issues to debate here, but the obvious hurdle this is going to present in 10 and 20 years is rampant disease and a population explosion the likes of which have not been seen since the end of WWII. It is statistically unavoidable. If they all pay taxes, the overall damage would be sustainable. If not....

Power doesn't necessarily only come out of the barrel of the gun. The penis is the smart man's AK-47.

All pay taxes? My dear sir, by then we will have massive tax supplements for families, by the child, can't you project forward?

Yeah, those dirty Catholics are going to spread disease and pestilence and more of them thar dark skinned pregeny, what with their backwards stance on morals and virtue.

As Jammer Six says, "sometimes they slip..."

Have you compared U.S. and Mexican birthrates lately?
Yup, Mexican birthrates are higher than American birthrates. Catholics of any race, in any country, tend to have higher birth rates.

So what? We should keep these people out of our country because the have religious scruples against contraception?

Gimme a break.

What does any of this have to do with immigration laws?

No, but we shouldn't ask other people to subsidize their kids either.

I keep hearing how they pay taxes--enough to cover $8K per student in a public K-12 program? I don't think so.

The taboo against exploring cultural issues just keeps American social policies stupid.

Oh goody...

Looks like the Reconquistafada has begun...
Student protests grew tense in Santa Ana today when isolated reports of protesters throwing bottles and rocks at police drew a call by officers on the scene for help, police said.

Reinforcements of investigators and officers came from nine other law enforcement agencies. Some wore helmets and carried batons and shotguns, officials said. After a confrontation between police and about 1,000 protestors in downtown Santa Ana shortly after noon, the protestors broke up into groups of between 20 and 100.

The smaller groups conducted sit-in demonstrations at intersections in various parts of the city, said Santa Ana police Commander Baltazar De La Riva.

"As soon as the police move them out of an intersection, they move to another intersection," De La Riva said. He said one protestor was arrested for throwing a bottle at police.

Who's up for some popcorn?

LOL.

Nine law enforcement agencies called in as backup, 1000 protestors, and one arrest for a thrown bottle.

"The sky is falling! BwaaaaaccccckAAAAAAWWWWW The sky is falling!" :neener:

You, sir, stoop to ascribing vile meaning to a statement about demographics when it is not apparent that such a meaning was intended. It would be more productive to question the poster than to brand him with your own prejudices.

Tell me what your high-minded "Me citizen, you poo-poo" attitude solves here. It only pollutes the ideals that America is actually founded on by establishing multiple classes of "justice", in ways similar to China and the old USSR

So let me get this straight, when someone who knowingly violates our laws by entering our country, and we catch them and send them back to the country of origin, this is acting like China? I guess you are saying that the people of the US don't have the right to decide who we let in, is that what you are saying?

Seagull...

Read the whole thing before you flap your lips.
The Senate agreed to a 'plan'.
Christ...

Yes. You got it exactly. Does your mommy ever tell you what a bright star you are?

Certainly, at no point during the dozens of posts did I ever suggest denying illegal immigrants all government services without proper legit ID, sending them back to their home countries immediately and selling their left-behind posessions to pay for the fare, and penalizing the employers that hire them for massive amounts of back taxes. :banghead:

Was their any doubt that would happen Biker? It's not about what the American People want anymore. It's about what cooperate elites want. They want cheap labor! Seeing they have bought and paid for all the politicans you knew it would happen. Every poll i've seen said up to 70% of the Americans want the borders closed. I bet that high of percentage of Americans would have been against NAFTA and CAFTA. We got them to. The people have no say so in the country anymore. I for one am tired of voting for who I think is the lesser of the two evils. Evil is evil no matter how you cut it. If I vote it will be for now on the Constitution Party. The only way the people will get America back is with another revolution. I don't see that just yet
