Quick Draw 20 Yards Shot

I find that frequent weak hand practice forces concentration on form and can help break bad habits. Obviously good practice for self defense as well.

Just told U what's my end goal

First shot bullseye 20 yards less than 1 second (0.90)..

Simple - check
Measurable -check
Attainable - check
Realistic - check? (depending on the actual size of your "bullseye")
Time constrained - nope

So you really have a desire, or wish, which can become a goal when you add a date to accomplish it. One you have that, you just need to break it down into smaller goals (fire without drawing until you can hit decreasing sized targets, adding the draw, increasing the speed of the draw and shot), with specific times to meet those.

An off topic example, wanting to have net worth of $1million is a wish, but it becomes a goal when you add "by th time you are X years old).

Lots of good specific ideas on how to practice in the prior posts.

Ed McGivern’s technique for shooting from the hip: Keeping your feet fixed in one spot, repeatedly draw and fire into a berm with no target, noting where the bullets impact in relation to your body position. Continue until you are making small groups in the dirt. Then when shooting at a target, stand so that the target is where your shots naturally impact. Probably not going to do well at 20 yards though; better for small room distances.

Evil Roy’s (Gene Pearcy) technique: Draw the gun up vertically to your sternum while bringing the barrel horizontal and apply your offhand grip while it’s close to your chest. Then push the gun forward, straight towards the target. Your eyes can take in the front sight and target at the same time. Experimentation will lead you to learn what your sight picture should be to hit the target when making this move. Break the shot as your arms approach full extension. With a single action revolver he can draw and hit in less than a second.
