Haven't figured out what handles to put on these yet. The kitchen knife will get a composite, thinking the wharncliffe with stag and the hunters, IDK yet. Have to dig through the assortment of materials. I'm amazed at prices of materials these days, some are 3X what I remember buying at.

After the handle shaping session. I usually grind the phenolics wet to eliminate dust but didn't have any coarse belts to use so they got ground dry. The Micarta and G10 dust is horrible even with the vacuum sucking it in.

This weekend will be making sheaths either Kydex or leather, depends if enough screw hardware is on for Kydex. fixed-December 10, 2022-8692 - Copy.jpg

Can't wait to see the results, what are you going to use for scales?

Removable or pinned?

Do you send them out for HT or do it yourself?

They are sent out. Did you do your HT? Certainly makes it more convenient to have it for one off runs. This place has it down and I also have them cryo treated. They straighten the blades so I get them back ready to go.

These were unplanned pieces and I wanted to do something fun that isn't my usual.

Not sure yet for handle scales. Left these chunky as I'm pondering some other options for handles and or guards.

I sent all stainless knives to Bos at Buck Knives, the O1 I did myself since it's easy.
