RA40's knife works in progress

Started off at just under 1/4". The dealer was mentioning to me to make something different.

Do you have pics from any other angles of this area? I can’t tell if I’m seeing correctly or if it is an illusion from shadow. Sweet knife!

I'll take some additional pictures. That is where I tapered the edge bevel.

This particular piece was a practice grind yet wound up being usable so it went in for heat treat. A local collector liked it and requested to complete it with stag.

On those styles usually I do it like this:

So it is a hollow grind? How thick is the ricasso/unsharpened portion? She’s a looker!

This came in for a new project. Last time cutting the deer antlers the neighbor's dog must have smelled the bone so he was watching it being cut into sections. Probably thinking, "I want one!" He wasn't present when cutting this one though. I wouldn't give him any in fear of him choking but I did like the companisonship with him there.

That elk antler project fell through.

Finished this one off in my favorite EDC pattern in that old school mid 90's style. Old steel: ATS-34 nitrogen cryo treated RC60, marble carbon fiber, 6-4 Ti with file worked liners and since the anodizer rig was set-up this one was dipped. In memory of my mentor Stan Fujisaka who passed almost 10 years ago. This one looks like one of his. Miss ya Stan!
