Plus 1 on the Jesse/Pfleger attention deficit issue.
Jesse's last couple of attempts at publicity filed dismally.
Anyone recall his "scholarship" offer to the "Victim" of the Duke rape case? I wonder if he still stands by that offer and how she's doing in school?
Before that he defended some Decatur Illinois high school students that started a riot during a football game a year or so ago. They were expelled from school and charged with assault.
Jesse showed up with his traditional five school bus loads of professional Operation Push protestors and marched on the local police station, made a little speech.
That lasted until some of the big Chicago TV stations got their hands on a videotape of the "innocent students" picking up chairs and smashing them on middle aged folks heads.
Then, when the video came out, all of a sudden he lost interest in "the rights of these good students" that he had praised.
The rules have changed and Jesse, Pfleger and their ilk just don't get it yet. Thankfully!
He's used to being able to control the context of the issues by wheedling his buddies on the 3 networks. That way the story was always told from his perspective. As my Wisconsin relatives would say; "Not No More Doh".
Now with U-Tube and MySpace pages and the alternative media he can get caught. Just like Pfleger calling for the "Snuffing" of John Riggio. In the old days, that would have never made it to the news. It doesn't fit the profile of the "Man of peace" image they try to cultivate. Now it's on video and audio tape for the record and in 24 hours millions saw and heard his comments with out Ted Koppel or anyone else telling them "what he really meant/said was ...".
On top of all that, gun owners won't sit quietly at home anymore. We start to show up and actually get interviewed on TV. What do you know. We aren't all mouth breathers. Our guys actually sound calmer and had real statistics to support their point of view.
Jesse and Flaky have Bupkus!
3 Jesse/Pfleger protests, 3 counter protests and more to come. Each week his group seems to get smaller and each week more of us show up. We may never match his manufactured numbers but we are there.
They are going back this Friday they say. That way gun owners, that have real jobs, probably won't be there to counter their protests.
