Rev. Jesse Jackson Arrested at Gun Shop Protest

I just wonder what the reaction would be if Chuck's gun shop announced a new policy of no longer selling guns to blacks and Hispanics in an effort to curb gang related crime.

Perhaps Jessie Jackson should go apoligize to the members of the Duke University La Crosse team that was cleared of all rape charges despite his interference and despite his attempt to paint them as rapists in the media before he goes making trouble across the other side of the country yet again.

That's probably too much to ask for a professional liar and troublemaker though.

That little incident where he tried to stir up trouble and where he tried to convict innocent men of rape charges in the press seems to have gone down the memory hole for most of the public. The prosecutor got disbarred for his role in the whole thing and can no longer practice law, but I guess Jessie Jackson doesn't belong to any organization that cares about his character, the fact that he lies constantly and/or exaggerates the situation or that cares about his character.

Maybe there just isn't an organization that would have him as a member.

Surely if there are guns being bought illegally Jackson can provide evidence of such a thing. If the guys breaking the law, he's breaking the law. But if it just so happens that he lives near a gang infested area and sells guns and that the gang members use guns... theres really no correlation whatsoever between the two. As someone already said criminals can't legally purchase guns. If theres no evidence of a crime being broken, then i politely suggest that Jackson go to Duke university and apologize.

Plus 1 on the Jesse/Pfleger attention deficit issue.

Jesse's last couple of attempts at publicity filed dismally.

Anyone recall his "scholarship" offer to the "Victim" of the Duke rape case? I wonder if he still stands by that offer and how she's doing in school?

Before that he defended some Decatur Illinois high school students that started a riot during a football game a year or so ago. They were expelled from school and charged with assault.

Jesse showed up with his traditional five school bus loads of professional Operation Push protestors and marched on the local police station, made a little speech.

That lasted until some of the big Chicago TV stations got their hands on a videotape of the "innocent students" picking up chairs and smashing them on middle aged folks heads.

Then, when the video came out, all of a sudden he lost interest in "the rights of these good students" that he had praised.

The rules have changed and Jesse, Pfleger and their ilk just don't get it yet. Thankfully!

He's used to being able to control the context of the issues by wheedling his buddies on the 3 networks. That way the story was always told from his perspective. As my Wisconsin relatives would say; "Not No More Doh".

Now with U-Tube and MySpace pages and the alternative media he can get caught. Just like Pfleger calling for the "Snuffing" of John Riggio. In the old days, that would have never made it to the news. It doesn't fit the profile of the "Man of peace" image they try to cultivate. Now it's on video and audio tape for the record and in 24 hours millions saw and heard his comments with out Ted Koppel or anyone else telling them "what he really meant/said was ...".

On top of all that, gun owners won't sit quietly at home anymore. We start to show up and actually get interviewed on TV. What do you know. We aren't all mouth breathers. Our guys actually sound calmer and had real statistics to support their point of view.

Jesse and Flaky have Bupkus!

3 Jesse/Pfleger protests, 3 counter protests and more to come. Each week his group seems to get smaller and each week more of us show up. We may never match his manufactured numbers but we are there.

They are going back this Friday they say. That way gun owners, that have real jobs, probably won't be there to counter their protests.

The only thing Jackson has ever accomplished was being lucky enough to stand in the shadow of a great man when he was killed.

I wonder if Jackson or his body guards are armed or own guns? If the answer is yes, then what makes him so special and elite to be able to own guns and not regular folks? Typical hypocrisy.

Maybe it's an old Catholic punishment. You drag the sinner out to the sidewalk and dump a can of Copenhagen on his head, then you drag him back inside and wash his hair with holy water. The dumping of the Copenhagen is to "snuff" him.

No, I don't buy it either, but it's a nice way to explain the threat away, don't you think? ;)

You dont know if his bodyguards are armed or not and you actually question it. Then you go out and call him a hypocrite. That is a perfect example of a stupid argument.

I just loved how he had to hang out of the back of the police vehicle to make sure the camera caught him being arrested and had ample footage to show on the nightly news. He's an absolute con artist, and I cannot believe the feds haven't got him on some type of RICO charges. Mike

So, if the 'honor student' was killed by a gang-banger, why isn't brother JJ protesting the killer, i.e. gang-bangers??

Ye blind guides, that strain out the gnat, and swallow the camel!

As far as I am concerned, every time JJ gets involved is a good thing for the RKBA. He further discredits the anti-gunners. Does anyone take him or Sharpton seriously anymore?

DD, you have to admit, that was a HUGE leap. To guess with no evidence that someone is probably doing something hypocritical, and then cluck "typical hypocrisy!" is just not reasonable.

It's a shame I have to mention this here but if I posted in the Activism forum no one would see it. Just saw that the Good Rev. will be back at Chuck's this Friday? How many gun owners are there in Illinois a good amount I would wager. Could be a great way for our community to show to the world who we are...get about 1000 gun owners there to shop, talk, support each other, would really get JJ and crew steamed I would imagine, maybe show him he better be ready for a fight (ideological one of course). The anti's had what, three busloads last time? What if 10k gun owners made the pilgrimage to Chuck's to rally, in the heart of nanny state, socialist wasteland that is IL, we would put the fear of God into every '08 candidate and there camps. Anyone in New England want to carpool it down there? Hey this is it folks the war is right here right now, this is a big opportunity.

Illinois Gun Owners

"How many gun owners are there in Illinois a good amount I would wager."

Last I heard there were between 1.2 and 1.5 million Illinois Gun Owners ... and not a single one in Chicago I'm sure.

Between the Kotwoski - Daley gun banning bills downstate and the Rev. Jackson/Pfleger, and Daley's incessant demands for more gun control because he won't even try and control gang violence in Chicago the grabbers are doing a great job for us of bringing more and more of the pheasant and duck hunters into the fold with the target shooters and collectors.

A lot of credit goes to downstate Dems that are holding the ground against Daley's tactics.

I wish it was all based on a solid constitutional issue, but a lot of it comes from Daley demanding several hundred million more $ every year to keep his CTA and Chicago Schools running. That money comes right out of the pockets of school districts in every other county in Illinois.

Now he had demanded, and Gov. Blago has given him a, $500 million guarantee for the Chicago Olympic proposal for the 2016 games.

I think the rest of the state has had about enough of his grabbing for more than his fair share of the tax revenue to prop up his expensive campaign promises and crooked contracts. Opposing his gun control proposals is just one more way to spit in his eye.
