Revolver Alternative Facts

Yeah, there's some red flags right off the bat.

"Are you wanting to make some DIY bullets and need to know how many grains are in a pound of powder? More importantly, how many how many grains in a pound of powder so you can calculate how many bullets you can make?

One pound of powder equals about 7,000 grains.
There is actually no grain. Bullets contain either wheat or oats. To determine the number of bullets you can load, you would take the number of grains needed for the specific type of bullet and divide by 7000."

I will arbitrarily dismiss the words of ANY handloader that refers to loaded cartridges as "bullets". Also seems to be obsessed with how many grains are in a pound.

I would hope that was supposed to be "neither wheat or oats". He needs to proofread, or hire a better Chinabot.

"Grain refers to the mass or weight of the ammunition and is a unit of measurement. One grain can only way 1/7000 of a pound or 0.064 grams. In one pound there are 7,0000 grains or 437.5 grains in one ounce. If a bullet is 230 grains, then that means that it is a .45-caliber weight bullet. Another example is that a 115-grain bullet would weight nine millimeters."
What???

Here's another gem.

"The ammunition that is made for hunting and personal defense is designed to have increased velocity, a heavier bullet and a bullet that is designed to spread when it hits its target. These types of bullets are normally sold in containers in small quantities and is a bit more expensive. The hunting and personal defense ammo has more recoil, which is more commonly known as “kick.”"
Aye Craig, you did the hard work for me.....

When I ran across his site last week, I had to keep reading as it got funnier the more I read. Did you note his black window saying he's a "tactical guy" I about fell outa my chair. I suppose it's not nice to make fun of people, but such blatant "disinformation", to quote Brandon, can't be forgiven. A lot of his other site functions don't seem to work, or be populated. I'm no gun 'expert',but I'm almost tempted to write to him and attempt to correct some of his premises. As gun owners and proponents, we need to ensure what we write is correct. He doesn't seem to recognize his lack of knowledge and seems to keep writing to stoke his ego as a site owner....? Anyway, thanks for illustrating my post.

You would be wasting your time, none of it was written by a human. It is all written by computer programs.

Aye Guy, you're probably right. While I know <little about AI, doesn't the data have to be input somewhere buy a human? (exposing my ignorance here....) More and more I seem to be envisioning a regressive period in my life...

Nope, you just ask it to write a 1000 word article on your topic of choice and it will go hunt for information on the internet and regurgitate some garbage in just a few seconds. It’s completely automated.

AI will be the dumbing down of society.
But I suppose that's what the so called elites want.
Make us dumb so we are easier to control.
We are headed down a very dark path/tunnel. But wait....what's that light? And why does it sound like a train?

Right now will be be "the good old days" though. When a person who speaks English poorly as their third language can tell in 1 second that the article is AI. In the future it won't be the case. It will get harder to tell as AI improves. Right up until they decide to call it skynet.......

The coherence will improve but the concerning thing is that the way these work is by basically scanning as much other content it can find on the web and then replicating it. Problem is though like 20% of the content online is already AI generated, and as that keeps increasing the garbage in garbage out problem will just keep feeding itself. Pretty soon the AI will just be mining other AI.

Yeah. But with the coherence improvement that will come, the uninitiated who may be Googling things like "why is my check engine light on" and "what gun for bear" or "what oil do I use" will not be able to write the bad info off as AI.nonsense.

Not that 99% of the human intelligence on those subjects isn't nonsense as well. Lol
