Rossi 360 Dan Wesson

Hello all,

I have this posted in the hand loading section with more specifics regarding bullet weights and charge questions but thought I’d post the rifle specific questions here.

I’ve got a couple Rossi 92s
The 20” barrel version has a long throat. It can almost chamber a full length 360 Dan Wesson.
360DW= 1.76 OAL and I chamber 1.71 no mods
Typical 360DW case trim length is 1.41
Without any mods , and using 158XTP, I can cycle a COL max 1.650
In the future I might look to get the chamber reamed to 360 and then modify the lifter and guides so I can run full length 360DW.
Anyone don’t this mod or know what’s all involved? I’m gonna try and find a gunsmith for the work but just wondering if anyone has experience with this?

I thought about doing this to mine as well. I learned of it only after I had my carbine delivered from Steve's Gunz with his action work. Otherwise I'd have asked him to do the mods as long as he was already working on it.

It would be really nice to have the flexibility to shoot full power 360 DW and mild .38 special, as well as everything in between.
