I mention earlier that I fired lapped a couple of Ruger revolvers, the one thing I found is the steel Ruger uses is quite tough especially their .stain less steel.
Well my leg has partially healed and l'm back working, even if at only 25-50%.
Dillon SD is back from factory rebuild and again pumping out 38/ 357. I've been to range a couple of times and can confirm a little more firelapping is required before I finish this quest.
I dug out the firelapping equipment yesterday and found I had 10 already gritted boolits ready to go. Plus a friend lent me a can of clover 120 since I had used up all my valve grinding compound. I gritted another 10 and set them aside to dry.
I should have some more progress on this quest shortly. Sorry it has taken sooooo loooong!
Haha! With me there is a thing known as "frog time". Usually measured in hours per mile not MPH. Glad things are returning to "normal". I sure don't bounce back like when I was 20.:banghead:
Back at it after Ruger factory struggle. More on that later.
10 more firelaps, total 70, and a trip to range.
Did not have correct load to do accuracy check, but still getting leading.
I'm gonna lick this thing or bust!
More later as it develops.
