Ruger shouldn't be left out

Rugers are very much a big part of my collection! My first handgun was a Ruger NM Blackhawk which I still have.
When I go to gun shows or an LGS I’m always looking for a good used Ruger that I should have bought way back when it was new!

I believe the correct name is "One Ragged Hole". I have one on the .45 colt Blackhawk I showed in an earlier post (photo before installation of sight). If your eyes are getting old, the sight is a wonder. You won't get as precise a sight picture as with other types of sights, but it is fast and easily minute of bunny head.

There's a Ruger or two in these parts. ;)

I can. I've been buying Rugers for decades. Not one, two or even ten but a total of 56 guns. Not only have I never experienced what you're talking about but in 15yrs on RugerForum and up to 20yrs other forums, I've never heard of it either.

That's inaccurate.

What is that beautiful nonfluted stainless Gp100?

I shot a 22LR/22Mag convertible Single Six in my youth, and the quality of that gun left a mark on me. Some 35 years later I finally bought this new GP-100 in .357, my first revolver after many autoloaders. Pretty tame compared to the rest here, but I have simple tastes. It only has 100 rounds through it, but is a definite keeper.

WOW that's a lot of great looking Rugers, I'd post mine but I only have one beautiful 357 and a 41 mag that has been on too many hunting trips.

I'll have to be the voice of dissent... I've owned a good number of Ruger single-action revolvers and I could never get one to shoot worth a darn. That includes a single-six, about 6 .45 Colt variations, and a beautiful .41 Bisley that I had very, very high hopes for. Even earlier this year, I gave it... One More Try with a .44 Flattop... and, again, was disappointed.

Pic of the Bisley .41 (top) and my old .45 Vaquero. The .41 is gone, sadly, but the Vaquero remains as my camp and workhorse pistol... The jury is still out on the .44.

Like the grips on your Single Six! Who made them? They remind me of a pair of Mustang Grips a friend of mine has on his Super Blackhawk. I found them to be very well designed grips and were a big improvement over the original ones, especially at reducing felt recoil and muzzle flip. They made the gun much more comfortable to shoot.

The only Ruger I would have interest in would be single-action revolver with Bisley-style grip. The intriguing round action SxS Gold Label :cool:designed for mass production was discontinued after very short run.:uhoh:

Those are a discontinued model of Herrett's Shooting Stars that I found on eBay a couple years ago. They work well with the length and weight of that revolver. :)
