One of the ugliest silencers ever marketed.Hi,
I’m looking for opinions on the Ruger Silent-SR ISB....
Didn’t honestly think of that. I liked how compact it is lengthwise. Thanks, I’ll keep looking.
Neither Ruger silencer has taken off in any fashion. Ruger has done a poor job of marketing both of them. I have a Silent SR and like it.Did the ruger silent SR (the 22 can with the vaguely phallic baffle stack) ever take off in any fashion? I never see it mentioned and ahve never seen one around.
It's a very affordable can compared to the Dead Air Mask...around $80-100 more affordable.I thought that it might be the start of some affordable cans if ruger got economies of scale and casting behind it, but after it's release at a price point similar to everybody elses...... crickets.
The Silent SR is a titanium tube, stainless baffles and front cap, aluminum back end..... I mean, it's all aluminum, which is cheaper and easier to machine than steel/titanium,
Then do that.but you can buy a baffle stack style "solvent trap" from china for about $10-15.
