I just ordered a Ruger 1911 model 6702. If you have one or have shot one I would love to read any reviews you might have.
Might it not have made more sense to have asked this question before you ordered it?I just ordered a Ruger 1911 model 6702. If you have one or have shot one I would love to read any reviews you might have.
That was no reference to your fine post, and I certainly enjoyed the links. Just mentioned that the 6702 was the Commander model as OP just mentioned the 6702 number and I thought most would not know that was the Commander model. (I had to go goggle it myself )BlueDuck the first link is commander model but the other links contain reviews for the full size and full size shot from a ransom rest.
is anyone else having this issue
1911addicts website stop coming up for me saying page unavailable almost a month ago.
I'm not dropping the slide on an empty chamber--I'm in full agreement with you on that, it's not a good idea.Possibly you are not using enough force to compress the springs and follower in the brand new SR1911 mags and the others are broken in already?
Please do me a favor PLEASE --- Do not drop your 1911 slide on an empty chamber, please use snap caps, they are cheap and worth it. This action of letting the slide slam home on an empty chamber causes undue stress on barrel lock up especially in the slide stop area, and undue stress on hammer hooks and sear nose.
