I suggested:
SR1911 , bobtailed, 4" barrel
SXS 12 & 20 GA. (re-engineer the Gold Label)
7 1/2 in. new vaquero 45 colt
Ruger American SS
Old Armys

I would have asked for bringing back the Security Six and the Service Six, a Commander size SR1911, and a SR9c in. 45ACP.

I got that survey yesterday, I don't remember all of my answers, but a couple were , better triggers on their auto pistols, extra capacity mags for the lcp and lc9, a smaller 1911, 3 inch size, the other ones had to do with rifles, I think I asked for the 300 blackout at a reasonable price, and a tacticle shotgun with a high capacity.

I did their survey yesterday. I suggested a compact SR1911, muzzle loader, and an AR platform. My computer was acting funky and I had to do it twice so I didn't think too hard about it, just wanted to hit done before [nice machine] rebooted itself again.

Lcp in 22lr
Lcr in 22mag
Keep the lcp and just improve the trigger.
Pc carbine
Pump shotgun

I would like to see them go back to making the wooden upper front handguard for the mini 14. I looked all over for them but there is none to be found. I finally decided to take a chance and order a front handguard from a Springfield M1a from Fulton Armory. After more than a few hours of cutting for length and height and grinding out the center channel. Plus staining to match the existing Ruger stock and refinishing this is what it turned out like. Sure would have been much easier to order one from Ruger like you used to be able to.

I think it'd be cool if Ruger dabbled into the .410 revolver market, but honestly I think Ruger's power is in its revolvers. Their semi pistols are in the mix with the others in their class, and their rifles are generally not as well received.

2 of my suggestions were to do a mini and a bolt action in 6.8 with the proper chamber/rifling this time rather than using the outdated versions from when the 6.8 first came on the scene.

Lots of great suggestions in this thread to make me broke. I have one huge one to add. A STRIPPED 10/22 RECEIVER. Please oh please Ruger.

Never got it I Bought an LCP a few months back. I would love see an LCP in 22lr and bring back the pc9.i woulf also like to see a 22 mach 2 barrel for 10/23td.

Dump the Super Redhawk and offer the Redhawk in .41 Mag, 44 mag, 45 Colt, and .454 Casull with unflutted cylinders and barrels of 4", 5 1/2", 7 1/2" and 10".

Offer a 5-shot Redhawk in .480 with the same barrel lengths as above.

Change the bolt handle profile of their bolt guns to a more open and swept-back profile similar to Mausers.

Get crackin' and crank out more SR1911s and offer a Commander version when you get caught up.

I just received an email from Ruger asking various questions in a survey. One of the questions was what 5 products would you like to see from Ruger.

I listed:
SR-45
Ruger American in 6.5x55
More single action hunter models... preferably a blued one for us thrifty folk. Or maybe a matte stainless model. Not crazy about the satin stainless finish.

I'm curious if anyone else completed this survey, and what you listed as "wants"? Or... if you haven't completed the survey, maybe just fill out your top 5 as if you had.
I got that e-mail too. I asked for:

* Economically priced 22/45 with a 6.5-7" barrel for shooting Ruger Rimfire Events.

* A ten or twelve shot double action revolver in .22LR.

* An 8-shot ICORE-rated revolver to compete with S&W

* A No. 1 Tropical chambered in .460 Wby. Mag.

* Bring back the .44 mag carbine.

* Finish the job on the Gold Label SxS shotgun (even if you have to raise the price) like Bill would have.

I say the carbines in 9 and .40. They would sell like mad because the m1 carbine surplus is all but gone plus the cost of ammo. In addition these rifles are based on the 10/22 platform which is loved by many and reliable.
Do you really think they would sell? They didn't the first time through...

Ok, here goes...

M1 Carbine in 5.56, an AR platform in 22 magnum and revolving 12 and 20 gauge shotguns.

My list was as follows, as strange as it may be.

High quality blued SR1911

Commander sized SR1911

Bearcat without scroll marks on the cylinder

45-70 guide gun type thing to buy instead of Marlin's

Scout rifle that uses M-14 mags or other cheap, readily available mags.

The pistol caliber carbines were pretty much a loser the first time through. Targeted to law enforcement they could be purchased to accept Glock, Beretta or S&W magazines I believe. They were very heavy for the firepower they provided, not cheap and were introduced at a time when many law enforcement entities began looking at the AR platform.

Marlin stopped making their carbine as well.
