I'm thinking of selling some guns to fund a different purchase and need to know what this is worth. It's a S&W 625-3 "Model of 1989" with a 4" barrel in .45ACP. From what I understand, a 4" pre-lock is pretty rare, I looked for awhile before I found this one for sale a couple years ago, so I'm having a hard time finding other people selling similar guns to get a price comparison. Almost all the 625's I found were either 5" barrels (and not legal for IDPA) or 4" Jerry Miculek 625's with the lock.

I've not decided to sell yet, so I'm not entertaining any offers, I just want to know what it's worth. I'll post in the classifieds if I do decide to sell.

4" 625s are not rare, but a lot of people who own them do not put them up for sale. Actually, I think they made far fewer of the 5", however the demand for those is far lower as well. Three inchers, same thing. Not too many around, and not much demand for them either.

Real world--$600-700.
Or put it on GB for $850, and renew it once a week, every week for a year....or two. Maybe a sucker will bite.

I agree with the above -- should be able to get $600 to $700. May take a little while with the economy the way it is, but the gun is definitely worth that much.

From everything I read 3" guns are hot right now and you will pay a premium for them. Love my 3" M625-3.

I have a pre-lock 625-3 with original wood grips which I purchased for $450 about 1 year ago. While I don't shoot it much, I wouldn't think of selling. I have seen them locally for ~$600.
