I rarely suffer from stress and I don't get fuming mad too often. But every once in a while something will happen to really SET ME OFF. I used to carry this stress, rage or hatred with me all day and it was not until I got a good night's sleep I could start again with a calm attitude and a positive outlook.

Since I began shooting, if I'm tense or furious, I just go to the range and blow it off. 100 rounds of .45 leaves me completely calm and takes away the stress or anger. It is amazing. It is like channeling all my emotions into copper-jacketed boxes and dumping them in a trash can 15 yards away!:p

Motorcycling is the ultimate in relaxation for me. When I'm on the Harley, my problems seem to be gone and a weekend away leaves me completely relaxed and ready to face a new week of whatever may come.:neener:

I guess I'm just trying to say I am very grateful for these outlets and very grateful my circumstances and finances allow me to indulge in these enjoyable activites that seem to even contribute to my mental health.

Life is Good.:D

I hear you Jimbo!!!!

While I dont go shooting as often as I would like, it is very calming. Maybe it is the power you have in your hands..

As for motorcycling now that I can do whenever I want!!! Actually I just rode the 160 miles to my inlaws. Very relaxing except for the falling wet snow the last 30 miles.

And doubly relaxing..I was carrying my .45 while riding!! :)

bikerp97,

I don't know why those relax me so. I'm just happy they do. Thank god it is riding weather again! Those winters can be loooooooooong!

denfoote,

Any 2 out of 3 will at least keep you sane! Not saying shooting or riding is better than sex, but my Sigs and my Harley never get headache or give me the cold shoulder. :neener:

Then again, when it comes to sex, I can't say I've ever had a "failure to feed" or "failure to eject". Well, maybe once. Or twice.:what:
