On Monday I ordered a Ruger Single Ten. Today I received an email from Grabagun that my order had been shipped. By USPS priority mail. I have always been given to understand that the postal service would not ship firearms.

Has something changed or am I misinformed?

Thank you. In which case however you would think more dealers would use the postal service. Grabagun only charged $5.99 for shipping.

Class 1 FFL holders only may mail handguns.

Nope, all licensed manufacturers, dealer, and importers can mail handguns through USPS. This includes FFL Type 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11. Basically any FFL holder except Type 3 (Collector of C&R) and Type 6 (Ammunition Manufacturer).

Then I can assure you the rest of the "shipping" charge was built into the price of your gun.

If you actually check their prices they are quite reasonable and they offer low shipping. Same with Bud's Gun Shop, free shipping and competetive prices as compared to any other online source as well as my local dealers.

MGKDRGN. I think that was the most surprising part. Bud's had it in stock for $466.00 plus 3% for using a credit card and then they said something about a transfer fee. They lost my attention at that point. And not all guns ship free from Buds.

Grabagun had it in stock for $447.00 plus $5.99 shipping and no other charges.

My FFL does the transfer for $20.00 so I'm in it for a total of $467.00.

That is odd. I have purchased from Bud's before and never paid shipping or a transfer fee. You are right about the anoying 3%, but the only other fee has been $20 to my local dealer for the transfer.

Manson .....and then they said something about a transfer fee. They lost my attention at that point...

...My FFL does the transfer for $20.00...
What are you meaning by "they lost my attention..."?:scrutiny:

That was the point at which I stopped listening and was waiting for a pause in the conversation. So I could say thank you and good bye.
