on one of the other threads, somebody asked "what's all this shtf stuff". well, most countries have had the common sense to not invade the us. but i am telling you right now, IMO, the biggest threat to us from another country is going to be China. think about it. they have so many people, they can send a wall of soldiers something like 50 wide off the end of a cliff forever. now, their economy is growing by leaps and bounds. so they have the money to invest in firepower, and technology. so, in a very short time, there would be nothing to prevent them from trying to "take over the world" (aka world war III). part of this problem is buisness. always trying to make as much money as they can, damn the consequenses. the other part of this is our own government. letting imports run rampant with very little tarrifs. and then there is our "NAFTA". the writers and supporters of this should ALL BE HUNG FOR TREASON! they have single handedly given away our country. sorry for the rant. sometimes stuff just bugs me.

I'm following you on the first part (industrial revolution?) but lost you on the take over the world part. Maybe you need to dig a little deeper in your research of Chinese foreign policy history. Perhaps even do some reading regarding the imperialism of western powers and how they destroyed relationships with China. This may change your mind, or at least give you a different vantage point.

Free trade would actually seem to reduce the likelihood of military conflict. If your economy depends on dealing peacefully with other countries through trade there's a greater incentive to not get into fights with them.

But also, this has nothing to do with guns. You're just making the mods work harder.
