of course they'll ride, it's free publicity for them.

Politicians are always hunting for ways to attach their names to major news events so that the people will recognize and remember them, kinda like actors and actresses.
 
I expected Abercrombie to have been on in the beginning. Seems our entire delegation is progressive and anti-gun, no surprise there. I sent him a short e-mail message explaining my disappointment. I'm not gonna hold my breath for his reply.
 
Checked my GOA ratings list and find them all Democrats, all incumbents, and all rated F-. Five are from California.

That tells me they were likely to sign up anyway, no real connection to VT except maybe they were waiting for an excuse to violate any caucus agreement not to be too aggressive about gun control going into the 2008 election.
