They feel great compared to the plastic that was on there....
Looks really good. Rosewood has become my favorite wood for handgun grips and stocks.
I know Bob, it is "Rosewood" color. Real rosewood would be really cool....Not to rain on your parade, but those grips are laminated birch, stained to simulate Indian rosewood. True rosewood from Brazil is near chocolate color. And tuns nearly black with age.

.I just can't get past plastics on a SA revolver.

I know what you mean. It's like seeing Pachmayr grips on a Ruger Blackhawk. They may feel great but somehow it just doesn't look right to me.
Mine fit perfectly. The plastic ones werent flush and rubbed my pinkie finger when I put it under the frame. That is all a non issue with the wood grips.Would ya'll show pics of the bottom of Wangler frames with grips pictured? Most replacement grips put on a Wrangler are short about 1/16" from reaching the bottom of the frame. If ya'll's fit there I will buy a pair.

I seem to recall that 1873 Colts came with cheesy hard rubber grips, or bakelite, which was the plastic of the day.
Of course I prefer wood grips as well. I suppose one of the reasons the Wrangler can be had under $200 is the cheesy plastic grips.
Not Bakelite but gutta percha. Bakelite didn't come out until around 1910 or so.
