Okay.... I have wanted one of these for the longest. And now, it is mine. I went shooting today with it, and discovered that it is quite a rifle. Especially for the money (it costed me $650 before taxes). I purchased a couple of accessories. (Magpul front handguards, and a frontal bipod/handgrip combo. Also a sling, and 8 mags and mag pouch.)
My testing of this rifle was admitedly informal. It was a walked off 150 paces, and the target was a yellow Yield sign (don't worry folks, someone I know works for the county, and they get old stuff). Because I have just purchased this rifle, it did not have any optics past a Magpul backup site.
So, though I do not have pics (because I forgot my phone), I can tell you, it put all the rounds within the target. I was putting rounds into 1/4 of the sign. My shooting buddy was doing the same. Both of us were shooting off hand standing. I can tell you that the rifle seemed to be capable of much better accuracy than the 4"-5" groups I was getting through irons. And that was out of the box. We were using Winchester white box.
That was how we started. We then went prone. At this point we ran out of the Winchester, but went to using Herter steel case. I wanted to use polymer sealed steel case, and say if it would work well. It did. My shooting buddy is ex-Army, and I had binoculars.... He went to work and got 3" groups with Herter 55 grain bullets.
Overall I am very satisfied. No problems with firing, feeding, or ejecting.
Most of the reviews I've read were born out to be true.
