So if you had a vote at Ruger, what would you like to see them build next? Here are my votes...

My wish is pretty simple. I wish they would redesign the single six with a lighter weight frame and Matt finish. Fixed sights would be OK too. Nothing fancy. Just a good inexpensive knock about gun for rough use in a boat, tractor or truck gun. A simple gun for new guys that could be bought for $200 or less. I would be all over that.
Gee, I wonder if that will ever happen.:uhoh:

I hope if they somehow make that happen they'd stick some sort of Western name on it. Like..... Hearder or rustler or horsman or maybe Gaucho?

Maybe one day....

22lr :uhoh:

1. Pump shotgun (a modernized version of the Winchester 1897) for SASS shooters.
2. A lever action .22 LR rifle similar to the discontinued Marlin 39A
3. A GP100 offered in .45 Colt

1) .22 L.R., 1''7/8, aluminium alloy frame LCR-X;
2) .32 H&R Mag, aluminium alloy frame, 6 shots, 1''7/8, LCR and LCR-X;
3) .38 Spl+P, .22L.R., .22WMR and .32H&R Mag,. aluminium alloy frame and shroud, SP101.

A double action revolver chambered in .41 Magnum, on a smaller platform than the Redhawk. I basically just want a new frame size between the GP and Redhawk, which it seems unlikely they'll do, but which would be nice.

And if I could have my choice, it would be a 4" barrel, stainless steel, with fixed sights (pinned front, notched rear), and a full grip frame rather than the GP/SRH design.

Not a new gun, but a change in policy. It seems that when you send a Mini14 in for any sort of service, they change out any non stock components, like improved trigger work. That's why my Mini hasn't been sent in for a new barrel.

Sorry revolver forum, but I just wish the 77/44, 77/357 didn't carry an msrp of $999.00! Street value seems to be $700-$800. Still too much for me for what it is. They need a budget one. Call it a Ruger American 77/357 or something.

Why wouldn't you just ask them to return your parts to you? They don't have a policy of confiscating parts if you ask for their return.

That's pretty common with most manufacturers.

Well now that I got my wish for a cheaper 22 single action how about one more? How about if Ruger takes what they learned with the new Wrangler and does the same thing to the Bearcat? What cool little guns those are. And as soon as I win the $10,000 jackpot in Vegas I'm going to buy one. Cheap version or not.:)

I would also love to see a 41 spl GP100. I would settle for a 4" full lug but a half lug would be perfect. If they did a 41mag in a 5 shot I would still be all over it.

I've been waiting for years for it. But I doubt it would ever happen. 41 SPL out of a GP100 would be a beautiful thing.
I'd buy two in case I wore one out.
I doubt I'll live long enough to ever see it happen.

There's enough people out there wanting a 41 GP sized revolver for ruger to justify making it. If you search it on Google there's many hits.

Just in the last year I bought a 77/357. I kept hoping Ruger would chamber an American in 357. If they ever do in the future, I would get one.

An updated Model 44 with full length tubular magazine, if possible make it dual tube like the KSG. Available in .327, .357, .41 Mag, .44 Mag, and .45 Colt.

Dump the wood stock, I'd rather have a polymer one like on the PC carbine with LOP adjustments and cheek pads.

EDIT: Oh, this is for revolvers. Uh, the Lightweight Service Revolver, which is basically a larger LCR around the size of a Gp100. Not my idea, but I love the idea because you could have a 6 shot .357 in a GP100 size revolver and it'd likely weigh 30oz. A 10 shot .22 and it'd probably weigh under 30oz. A 5 shot .44 Special LSR that weighs 25oz and has a trigger even better than the LCR due to the better ergos.

That would be a Charter Arms Bulldog killer.

Not just the weight, but the price would be lower too. The LCR's cost less than the SP101 and while some may be willing to pay for a small steel revolver for CCW, the larger size revolvers don't appeal to the casual crowd for any serious use besides the big gun machismo thing.

-A 10mm Magnum Blackhawk with spare .40 S&W cylinder. If I'm gonna shoot rimless 10mm in a large frame revolver, I have no interest in being capped with 10mm Auto and I don't feel like paying extra to have someone ream the chambers for 10mm Magnum.

-Adjustable sights on the 6 inch Bearcat

Takedown leveraction, with nice wood and synthetic options. Allow for mounting of rail or optics on barrel side of the equation to take out any POI change when taking down and putting back together.

Something that is very easy to transport or stow in a vehicle for use.

Pistol/straight wall calibers (buttstock tubefeed): .357mag, 44 Mag, 45 LC, 454 Casull, 450 Bushmaster
Rifle Calibers (rotary magazine feed): 223, 30-30, 243, 308

Not asking for much.

Since this is a revolver forum, a 'Cattleman' version of the Super Blackhawk. I'd also like to see a Buckmark carbine clone based on the Mark IV .22s, as well as a .25,.32, or .380 blowback based on the Mark design. Always wondered what the first two calibers would do in a decent shooter.

Since this is a revolver forum

Oops, that’s what I get to replying to a topic out of a new posts list. Didn’t pay attention that we were in the revolver section.

In that case, I wouldn’t mind seeing them come out with some nice slab side revolvers. Always thought they were cool.

The Wrangler Deluxe.

Adjustable sights, extend the barrel an inch or two, aluminum frame instead of zinc, and maybe wood grips.

And although not a revolver, I think there's room in the market for a Ruger semiautomatic shotgun.

And a .357 GP100 in stainless with a half lug 6" barrel.

The .41 seems to be a popular choice and I'll echo it. I'd like to see a GP100 in the standard 4 and 6" lengths, possibly a beefed up version with an 8" intended for the hunting market along the lines of the Taurus Tracker.

Now here's the evil genius in me. I'd like to see a single shot handgun loosely based on the Ruger #1 action in intermediate rifle calibers, and perhaps a scaled down version in the magnum handgun calibers i.e. .357 Mag/max , .41 and .44.
