If it were me, my dog, and a few other people, it would probably be like this Far Side cartoon. The look on the dog's face is priceless.... :D

I've actually eaten dog in Beijing, China. I don't know what breed of dog it was the first or the next time ;) I've been told that the eatin' dogs here are farm-raised dogs, bred specifically for eating. :D

To me, it tastes a lot like beef. But the texture is different. Hard to describe. Stopped after the second time I ate it, couldn't get the images of my sister's great dog out of my head.. but then again, that doggie will only feed me if the SHTF if he's on a plate so I guess I'd eat dog again if I had to.

In a disaster, everyone is Cantonese. If you are starving, anything that doesnt have 2 legs and a social security number is fair game. Birds, snakes, cats, dogs, mexicans. All contain delicious meat that will sustain you until help can arrive.
 
My father always has a little something to eat BEFORE he goes out to eat..so one day I asked him why.."Well ,what if you break down or something,you'll be hungry."to which I replyed"That's why I always carry a knife,and go with a companion......"

You start eating the cat.....
Power comes back on......and you're sitting there with a paw hanging out of your mouth....the wife is NOT pleased..... :uhoh:
 
I really like the sig line TonyB,

All i can think is of my lab. She would be like, "why are you eating me... oh well i don't care keep at it." Most easy going dog on the planet Now as for my other dog who is about 15, i'm not sure if the meat is still good on that one.

PS my family did "joke" about eating the dogs if we ran out of food for y2k.

BTW, that "Far Side" cartoon...the look on the dog's face is just a tiny bit smug, but not too smug. :evil:
 
Hey beerslurpy, you're not suppose to eat Mexicans, they are spicy :D

Anyways as mentioned, certain dogs were originally intended for food, Chihuahuas were originally eaten and used for fur.

I have heard that white dogs taste better than black ones. My best friend is an Asian who had eaten dog as a child and he did not like it. A Chinese guy I knew said he did not like it because it makes you hot to eat it he claims! I've heard that from others too.

Someone does not know dogs, lol! Sure no thumbs but, they are accomplished thieves when it comes to food - especially nice Porterhouse steaks.

When there is no more food, no help is coming and you are hungry enough to stomach it.

I've eaten dog
I find no difference in white and black dog and no internal temperature spike when eating it.
It does have a noticeable taste and texture if you know what to look for
 
Reminds me of this old joke:

A preacher visiting his flock in the country happens to see a pig walking around on 3 legs. The preacher stopped by and asked the farmer. My son, what's with your pig with only 3 legs?
Well preacher says the farmer, this pig is very special to my family and me, well just 2 months ago, I'm working underneath my tractor, the jack fell and the tractor was crushing me. I yelled and my pig rushed to my rescue, dug me out and pulled me away from the tractor.
Well that's very commentable says the preacher..but..
That's not all preacher, last week my house caught fire and my pig pulled my 2 young daughters to safety. It even received a hero gold ribbon, from the village mayor.
I understand says the preacher, but that still doesn't explain the missing leg!
Well like I said preacher, this pig is very special to my family and well, we just cannot bring ourselves to eat it all at once. :D
