Got the itch today to do some shooting. It's been entirely too long, but I wasn't let down. The range idiots were out in force. A major reason why I haven't been shooting much lately.
I digress, I finally found a spot to myself and got to it.
I wanted to do some accuracy work and try to tighten those groups a bit. Wind was left to right, 5-10 mph. Sun was 2 o'clock and in my eyes for the entire time.
Distance was a LRF 25 yards using NRA slow fire targets printed on standard card stock and some similar homemade targets scaled to the same dimensions to save on printer ink.
Guns shot were a Colt Python, Colt Trooper (I think) and a S&W 66-2. The Trooper has been heavily worked over and turned into a PPC gun (heavy bbl, full rib, etc).
Load was my standard plinking load of a 148 DEWC with 2.5 grains of Bullseye over a Winchester small pistol primer. Never bothered chrono'ing them but I estimate them to be around 700 fps. Like I said, plinking load.
I shot the PPC gun first, then the S&W and finally the Python. I shot 10 rounds one handed, then 10 rounds two handed.

Here is the PPC gun. I dare say I purchased this for maybe $300 bucks about 7 years ago already worked over.
One hand flat out sucks...too much heavy barrel hanging out there to hold it steady.
Two handed...not bad.
Honestly, I was a bit surprised I did this well with this gun. It has the shortest sight radius off all three revolvers. On top of that, I wasn't really feeling the orange insert on the front sight, but it was working for me.
I'll fully claim that loony shot on the top. I shanked it. No other way to put it. Of course it was the last shot of the group too!
All in all, I'm not a bullseye shooter, that's for sure!
