When I retired two years ago I bought three guns a Glock 48 and a Sig M17. I wanted a Sig P320 Carry, but they were no where to be found so, I bought a Sig M18.
I can’t say that i was trying really hard, but I did keep looking for a Sig P320. A few days ago I saw that Aim Surplus had police trade in Sig P320’s with one magazine for $399. I decided to pull the trigger and get one. But for some reason I couldn’t get my order to go in. So since I really didn’t need it, I just closed the site and watched a movie.
I haven’t been out of the house in the last two months, other then doctor appointments and surgeries. I have to remind myself that I’m not that young anymore and with age, some things don’t work like they should and have them fixed before they become a problem. But I’m all better now.
Monday I was feeling good and went shooting. Yesterday I went to Walmart and did a little work outside. Today was my third day to make it out of the house. I had forgotten a couple of things at Walmart and had to stop by the post office.
As I was driving home I stopped by the pawnshop just to say hi and see what was on the shelves. Elle also like to stop off at the pawnshop so, no arguments from her.

While Elle was following me around, I spotted a Sig P320 on the shelf, my buddy got it out for me to have a look at, boy was it dirty. It was in good shape, but looked like a EDC that didn’t see much cleaning.
It was also marked at a fair price of $389 will two 15 round magazines. I asked my buddy if they had any wiggle room in it. He said that he had just put it out the day before, but he would knock $20 off the market price for me.
I couldn’t help myself and bought it.
I took it home and took a few pics then sat down and gave it a good cleaning. Now I need to contact my buddy, Kee, over at RM Holsters and have him make me a holster for it.

Nice score, great price. I seem to be one of the last P-320 fans around, or at least that's how I feel sometimes. Best triggers of any striker-fired pistols.
I’ve been accused of being a Glock Fanboy, but that’s buy people that don’t know me. When if fact, I like several brands of guns and own several different brands and models. Sig is one of them. I can’t say that I like the earlier models of their striker fire pistols, but I do like the P320.
I need to get my Sig P320 parts box out and go through it. I think I have two compact frames that I bought a couple of years ago. CDNN had them on sale for right around $30 with a magazine. I bought a few.
But when it comes to guns, I really don’t need to buy anything else, but it’s something I enjoy doing.

Awesome congrats on the Sig. Beautiful service dog too. Glad to hear your getting out too.
Elle goes just about everywhere with me. She was upset when she couldn’t go to the hospital when I had my surgeries, but she’s made every doctor appointment.
Elle met someone at Walmart today and it was like she lost her marbles. It was like she ran into a log lost friend, it was funny.

Sounds a lot like what I did last year. Sold my Glock G17 because I really didn't use it all that much and was never a big fan of the gun's overall size and ergonomics. Decided to replace it with another polymer frame, striker fired 9mm., but in a slightly more compact package.

Tried out every gun they had in the gun shop and came away with liking the SIG M18 the best. The gun had a really good feel to it and I felt that it had the best trigger on it versus everything else I tried. I did make a note to myself that I would come back sometime and look at the Glock G48 and the G43X as they really impressed me. They handled and balanced great in my small sized hand. Like the SIG both Glocks were just the right size and configuration that I wanted and I thought they would make for great concealed carry guns. Bought the G48, as at the time they were out of stock with the other one. Went back a week or two later and picked up the G43X!

That is one seriously dirty Sig. I might have been tempted to put the whole thing into the ultrasonic and clean everything at once. Then blow dry and lube. Congrats on the Sig. I have been tempted many times to buy one myself. Got a Beretta APX instead for now. I liked your dawgs when I met them. You have them very well trained. Glad your feeling better and well enough to do things again.

I almost forgot, I bought my duty weapon from the department when I retired, also. It’s a G4 Glock 17 in like new condition. I carried it very little because, I was in plain clothes 99% of the time and carried my G19 RTD or G45.
I bought the G48 not long after they came and I already had a G42. These two guns are my EDC guns. I’ve got RM Holsters for them, an IWB for the 42 and OWB for the 48.

Named after Reese Witherspoon's (she was born in New Orleans) character in the Legally Blonde flicks?

Cool doggo. She just looks smart!
Elle is a Texas Heller. She was seven months old when I got her and wild as a hurricane. My niece had bought her as a puppy and didn’t realize what a handful the breed can be. Her boys had named her and I didn’t see any reason to change it.

When @dh1633pm stopped buy to visit, I hadn’t started training her to be my service dog yet, but she was showing a lot of potential.
She’s never far from my side, even at home.

Congratulations! I hope you'll be able to shoot it soon.
I like having company when I go shooting. The local indoor range allows active military and law enforcement, and retirees to shoot free on Mondays. So that’s when I go shooting and most often bring a friend and pay their range fee. I went shooting this past Monday. Took my new PSA Dagger and my Sig M17, and a friend. We put 200 rounds down range.
I can shoot free at the Bass Pro anytime, which is just four miles from my house, but they treat everyone like a first time shooter and watch you like a hawk. I don’t shoot there often.

I have the full size APX and like it. I need to shoot it more often.

Turk, my Border Collie is 17 yo now and Elle is 3 yo. Turk can hardly hear and can’t get around good anymore. It’s a good thing that both of my dogs are trained with voice and hand signal commands. I might have to have Turk put down this year.:(

Here it is, all cleaned up.

Other then a little wear on the slide stop leavers and the takedown lever, the only other spot is on front right side of the slide.
It does need some fresh paint in the sight dots.

Here’s the two extra frames I bought a while back.

They are the subcompact frames. The ODG is a medium and the FDE is a slim.

Going to buy a couple is mag releases for the extra frames.

Looks like a great deal to me.The P320 is the first striker gun for me,and now i have 3 of them.Beautiful dogs too.I got my first Border Collie when I was 17,and he lived to 18 years.Last summer was a hard time for me as far as dogs go.My Border Collie got cancer and died and the neighbor's dogs killed my little Pekingese. Now I have a beautiful Border Collie that's 8 months old.Of all the dogs I've been around, losing that little Peke hurt the worst.

Gunny say hi to Kee for me.Love his holsters. You were the referrel for me to use him.He did some custom work for me for a Glock with a laser /light.Glad to see you well.If Im ever down that way Ill buy us supper.
Kee’s shop in in north Baton Rouge, about a 30 minute drive if traffic isn’t too bad. Lucky for me, he lives about 10 miles from me. Now when I order a holster, he brings it to my house on his way home.
The last time I had him make me a couple of holsters, we did some bartending. Wood bowls for holsters.
There was someone, here on the forum that saw one of my post about RM Holsters. He said that he had one and liked it but it had broken. I told him to contact Kee. Kee replaced the holster for free.

I’ve only had Border Collies over the past 23 years. I was going to get another Border Collie when I found out that my niece was looking for a home for Elle. Since she was a working dog breed, I decided to take her in.
Since I trained her to be my service dog, she is stuck to me like glue.
She loves going to the pawnshop where I bought the Sig P320. When we get there, I take her leash off and she goes behind the counter to tell everyone hello. I know the owner very good, I worked at the pawn shop years ago when his dad owned it. Elle and I go behind the counter in the gun room and check everything out. She stays close to me, even when I help costumers.
I’ve thought about putting a holster on her vest to hold a toy gun. She already has a grenade.
