Sw bodyguard 380 trigger issue after disassembly

I recently completely disassembled my SW Bodyguard 380. I had the gun disassembled for about a month. Does leaving the hammer spring out for a month increase the trigger pull??? When I reassembled the gun the trigger pull had doubled. I did polish some of the internals with Flitz and a cloth (no dremel) but cleaned every part meticulously after that. The gun went together fine but I noticed the trigger pull was incredibly stiff after I put it together. Twice what it was originally. I took it apart 4 times and verified the assembly was by the book but no luck, the trigger pull has increased by double. It feels like about 14 15 pounds and gets VERY stiff at the end of the pull just before it breaks. I have looked at every piece and can't figure out what happened. Has anyone ever seen this?

The answer is YES, you can get a stiffer trigger if you leave the spring out for a few weeks. Reassembled the gun and after a few days took it to the range and it worked fine. Not positive that the numerous times the gun was reassembled didn't help move something into place but the trigger pull did improve after a few days in the gun.

No, the correct answer is still always going to be, NO.

A spring simply cannot get stronger if left unassembled for days, months, or years.
A spring is a spring.
And it neither 'rests' ,or 'gains strength' through body-building when not assembled in the gun it was designed for.

You either had a false memory of how hard it was in the first place??
And your finger got stronger through using it again?

Or you had it assembled wrong, and something slipped back into place when you started using it.

The real question is?
Why in the world would you take apart what has to be a relatively new SW Bodyguard 380 and leave it in pieces for a month in the first place??

That's the REAL question you need to ask yourself??
