Taurus Finally Releases the TH10

SA/DA decocker ✔️
No trigger dingus ✔️
15 round mags ✔️
Street price ✔️
No FO sights ✖️
Trigger pull required for TD ✖️
Taurus ✖️

Results: The plusses slightly outweigh the exxes, but I will NOT be an easly adopter. I've done that several times already, mostly came out on top, but it's all y'alls' turn to go first and let me know how it goes. 😐

What I find interesting is some posters (on another board) state it still hasn't been released. If that's the case then Taurus themselves jumped the gun with the official release notification. Uummmmmm........
That has me wondering if all the vendors took pre-orders which obviously will be filled first so the gun will show out of stock until the pre-orders are filled. That may be why some people are claiming it hasn't been released yet. Anyone's guess is as good as mine.

I pleased to see Taurus did it and actually beat Ruger releasing a polymer 10mm first. Price is going to get 10mm into more people's hands, that is good for the cartridge as the increase in popularity for it will only grow now.

Will I be buying one? IDK, probably not, I'm just more interested in the TH45. If Taurus does a compact model in both the 10mm and .45... well, I may just have to buy both.

that price area is all we can move right now. The Smith buyers and 7+ bills pockets dunn ded on us. People are hurting right now.
I'm not surprised, but I think people are focusing on stuff they might not be able to get soon, so anything with a magazine gets priority. Still, people are not willing to part with big bucks right now, cost of living is too high, food costs so much now.

It's at least one of their established models. It will be tempting if the reviews are good. That's not much money to get into the 10mm thing.

I'm surprised they put it in the TH, but I guess when they were developing the .45 they had the 10mm in mind. Why they did a .45 in a DA/SA and not a striker was likely that caliber and style of pistol appeals to older folks, but the 10mm and the higher capacity appeals to younger gun owners, but in a striker.

I think Taurus wants to gauge the interest level in a 10mm pistol and in a few years will do a striker 10mm in a G3XL or something. I think a $350 10mm striker pistol with a 15 rd capacity would outsell the 10mm TH.

I had a cheap polymer M&P 2.0 in 10mm once but she is gone now. Nothing but feed issues even after a trip back to the mother ship. Polymer Sig Xten and Glock 20 these days flawless. Fixing to pick up a FN 510 next. Never owned a Taurus and never will. To each his own though, hope they work out...

The EAA 10mm cz clones are good pistols, especially after they went to dual spring guide rods. They are on the pricey side and aren't that common. I don't have a problem with Taurus (I even carry one) but for something like 10mm I would want "something extra" on the quality and accuracy side which I'm not sure Taurus can provide.

Taurus needs to cut it for an optic and they’ll have something that is not, to my knowledge, mass produced and affordable (below $1k)… a DA/SA 10mm with an optics cut straight from the factory.

If they did that, I’d be very tempted.

Davidsons has them in stock.

A little pricey, though.
$475 + $35 shipping….think I’ll give ya all time to provide reviews before I commit to another 10MM. I do like the hammer fired configuration and ambi safety though.

Notice, in store sales only! Otherwise out of stock.

Five dollars more, but in-stock.
Seems that Taurus is dribbling them out. At least they do exist, and we have an idea of actual street prices. Davidson’s may sit on their’s awhile.
I’m not a beta tester, either.
I can wait…

Sorry I missed the, "in store only."

I don't see why anyone would want to rush out and buy this now, give it another 6 months and let others be beta testers. Any new model or chambering, especially one a company doesn't have much experience with is going to run into issues early in production. That and prices will come down as supply and availability gets better.

They've been making the TH series for a long time.

If the reviews are good, especially reviews by members here, I might be tempted eventually.

I'm not willing to pay more than Taurus or RIA money to get into another caliber that I might or might not end up shooting much.
