Those are correlative factors, but not causative factors. After all, most poor people and young people don't embark on a life of crime. To find causation, you have to dig deeper. I'm convinced that the root cause of violent crime is a breakdown of values, which results from an absence of a functioning nuclear family. Most children of single mothers end up poor, and a subset of those turn to violent crime, drug dealing, gangs, etc.
During the depression crimes rates were very low being the country was over 90% European It is not poverty as much as it is the color of the criminals and their culture. Rich ball players get away with rape robbery etc starting in high school. They are not poor. "Poor" people today live like kings compared to poor people during the depression

That's the ostensible reason but, I'm convinced, not the real reason. The real reason has to do with a cultural conflict in this country. There's a large segment of the population -- centered in big cities, suburbs, and academic centers -- that considers gun owners (and even worse, gun users and carriers) to be rednecks, barbarians, and yahoos. No amount of reasoned argument is going to sway these people. The whole prejudice against guns, and gun owners, is on a very emotional level. The antigunners don't want to merely ban all guns -- they also want to ban the gun culture as well as the people that espouse it. (You can't imagine the vitriol that is poured out against the NRA, for example.)

Of course they don't say it, but in their heart of hearts they feel it.
What you have said really means is those people hate every European Christian in the US Gun control forced busing affirmative action quotas gay marriage open borders all are policies to destroy what this country was founded on and the race of people that founded it. They are winning because most people do nothing worship LEO's or refuse to believe it when billions are be spent to destroy us. Like J Edgar Hoover said: There is a plot so heinous against the American people they will never believe it

Right track but not on base. Not poverty, but the War on Poverty when we began subsidizing the poor so they no longer had to work.

Youth not because they were/are young, but because their cultural values have been eroded by (above) and the failure of the families to raise their children in a two parent home.

It seems that getting caught trying to pull one over on the forum constitutes "personal reasons." Kuyong_Chuin has visited the forum several times but hasn't owned up to his attempted ruse, despite a PM letting him know it was the right thing to do.

Might as well close this one, mods.
