Honestly I bet a big part of what you're up against is the time of year it is.

IME of 14 years in heavy steel fab and construction you can't expect a salaried employee to do ANYTHING in the last 3 weeks of the year and those are the kind of folks 1858 is trying to deal with.


I'll wager that after the 1'st if he starts from the bottom again he'll have a savage engineer on the phone within 2 days.

I find it very odd that TPS simply isn't responding to my emails or returning my calls. Either Savage has told them what they want to hear i.e. that the receiver should be level and that my receiver is an anomaly so they're not interested in my issue any more, which is understandable. Or, Savage has told them not to discuss this issue for whatever reason.

What's absurd about it? Explain to me how Dwight Williams was unable to get hold of anyone at Savage over a three-day period, and yet I was able to get hold of someone in CS both times I called. This seems odd to me given that TPS supports Savage via sales of bases for Savage rifles. Initially, Dwight Williams was very easy to get hold of via phone and returned my emails within a few hours. I called three times last week and sent three emails asking if he was able to find out any information from Savage but no response.
