Nothing fancy on my end, just 3 .45 cals, an old FIE, Jukar, and a CVA Philadelphia replica

Very nice GPR! Mine is factory made, I'm not so skilled at the kits!

I would love to have a .36 cal rifle to match my 1851 colt navy replica. I could carry both while squirrel hunting :D

You'd need a .38 or .39 caliber rifle to use the balls that will fit a '51 Navy. Those Colts use .375-.380 balls, a .36 muzzleloading rifle would use about a .350" ball which would not be safe to fire in a Colt. :)

But yes that IS a good idea, and I and others have oft wished those calibers would be more popular so we could use such balls in our rifles too. Once cool thing though is you can buy the bulk Hornady 5 lbs of 000 buckshot and it is the perfect size for a .36 muzzleloader and is super cheap, between 3-4 cents per round, making it a very affordable caliber to shoot. That's one of the reasons why I am getting one.

This one is an Armi San Marco, made in Italy. My uncle gave it to me when he decided he no longer had a use for it. Turns out I really haven't had much of a use for it either, as I've owned it for over 6 years and to-date, is the only gun I own that I've not fired. All it needs is new wood grips, otherwise is ready to go.

I'm checking to see if they can get me a 54 instead of the 50. They don't list a 54 in Left Hand on their site but maybe they can drop ship it to me.
Will see what they say.

Yeah! I l my .54 GPR a whole lot! Balances so nice. I'd fear a .50 would be a bit too heavy in the muzzle, but would still make a great shooter for sure if you can't get one in left hand, and the balls would be cheaper if you don't cast.

Looks like the 54 GPR is good to go. It will add a couple weeks to the order but that's fine with me. Sticking with the slower twist (non-hunter) version.
