...but the parts appear quite soft and it is obvious that it can never be made very crisp...
Current Pietta triggers (and hands) appear to be a MIM part and are quite hard all the way - they can be grinded with no issues and that trigger job will last. But the hammers are still a case hardened cast part.

Ojh. keep us posted about your competitions, will ya?

That Pedersoli is one beautiful Remington. I always liked Pedersoli barrels and had one on my longrifle that I competed with.

whughet - good question, which I really won't be able to answer for another 4 to 5 months. Too dang cold out and I'm flying back to work Wednesday.
I do find I like the loading lever on the full size significantly more than the shorty. More leverage to be had for ramming ball home.

Perhaps when you've had the chance to test, I'd be interested in the results.

Thought you be state side from the photos on the wad process, unless they got Wal-Marts in Africa, would not surprise me. Missus and I headed south to Florida our selves
this Thursday. Temp this morning a balmy -1 degree.

Safe trip.

Finishing up 3 weeks of vacation here at the house in Missouri. Back to work in Africa Wednesday. 3 plane rides to get there. Springfield to Chicago, Chicago to Dubai, and Dubai to Djibouti.

sorry about the picture quality guys. I shoot better with a revolver than I do a camera!

I shot competition for about 10 years on the NMLRA range using a Lyman revolver. If you don't have the proper tools for annealing/hardening and drilling and tapping the hammer just ruff up the area after the full cock notch [ it helps the epoxy stick ] and apply a little 5 minute epoxy so the sear doesn't go in quite so far. The trigger below the top edge will rest on it. That will take care of the creep. A little buffing or one or two wipes across the triggers top edge that keeps the gun cocked will lighten the pull. I just got the creep out of two Piettas I just bought and even though the triggers felt heavy before with the creep, they feel lighter now without the creep. We use to shoot that 10/13 International target at Friendship when they discontinued the timed fire revolver event. I always found it hard after shooting the rest of the agg with bigger sized rings in the American targets. Oh, we had 30 minutes - lots of time.

Here's my entry, an Armi San Paolo cased Navy Remington.

Gadsden, not only are the Remmies beautiful, but your photos are gorgeous! Post more!
It occurred to that me I haven't posted my baby yet...snatched up at at Fla. gun shop for $129 (and labelled as an "1858 .44 on the price tag):

Uberti New Navy .36, date coded 2009

Anxious to make an impression after being adopted into an exclusively Colt household, she showed her stuff by being the most accurate revolver I own...we still signing up new members?

It's hard to argue with my own results, Paul; that Uncle Berti Remmie Navy is a tackdriver...but I'd still grab my ASM 1860 if I had to shoot fast, for real...the balance, pointabilty, and ergonomics are just...agreeable. Now if it was a gentleman's duel, one shot, do or die, no rush...yeah, the Remmie. Group sizes don't lie.

Well, Brad, let's just see what your most accurate revolver is when you get the '60 back!! Lol!! If folks had a proper open top to shoot at Nationals, they might be surprised!!

Deal, Goon! I have a sample pack of BigLube boolets from Springield Slim, in .36 and .44...I'll shoot the 1858 and the 1860, from a rest, with RB and BigLubes, and post the results as soon as the 1860 comes home!
