Full auto okay (how DO you afford the ammo?)

Shooting stuff thrown on the ground is generally okay as long as others present are okay and you clean up your mess afterwards

Full auto? What may I ask are you shooting? If I have some of the caliber handy, and bring it down may I fire a mag full?

BTW, I am also bringing roughly 50 rounds of 9MM Largo (Non-Corrosive), 3/4 a box of .32 H&R Mag, and 1 box of 7.5 French that are free to anyone who wants them. I no longer have guns chambered in these rounds and I figured it's time to get them out of the closet (so to speak)

Full Auto Toys

I have a full auto Ruger 10/22 and a 9mm UZI. I will let others shoot the 10/22 occasionally. I don't trust other people's ammo in my UZI, especially reloads - nothing but problems in a open bolt.

Sounds like we have to have a "safari" shoot.

You know, we all stop by the dollar stores and pick up 2-3 stuffed animals of various types and bring 'em to the range to shoot.

Did a dinosaur based one a while back. Let me tell you it's nerve wracking to have a 3ft tall, flourescent yellow and orange triceratops "chargeing" you while you blast it with a .40 S&W <grin>.

Aw man, wish I could come. I'm gonna be out of town the whole weekend, otherwise I would drive up. It's less than 2 hours away from me!

Wish I had seen this when it was first posted, I am taking the family to Busch Gardens I would have liked wery much to show off the 50-90 sharps.

Do it again sometime soon. I just saw this today, only 45 minutes from Augusta Springs but am already tied up tomorrow.

I had a great time today guys and gals! Thanks for letting my wife, Terri, shoot the Machine Gun. I hope ya all enjoyed shooting the 9mm WinMag AutoMag III. It was a real treat to see and play with such a variety of guns. Now the bad news... all the pictures were eaten by Google's Picasa when I tried to export them to a web page! Gone... all of them. I an SO peeved.

Thanks to all the folks that showed up (I think there were either 10 or 11 of us).

We had quite an interesting assortment of toys including Herohog's 9mm Magnum (nice shooting gun) a couple of silenced guns and one fully automatic. (Herohog, sorry to hear about the photos. I didn't realize until the end that I'd been so busy and having such a good time I didn't take a SINGLE photo myself!)

The weather was absolutely PERFECT and we drove off repeated attacks by 2 liter mountain dew bottles, paper targets, and those sneaky little water bottles.

MikeD999999, the fully auto 10/22 was an absolute HOOT! So glad you brought it.

Thanks to everyone for pausing and clearing the range so I could do the "point shooting" demonstration. Hopefully it was informative to those who had questions.

We also wound up introducing a few new people to THR and the people who are a part of it. One of them was an honorably discharged veteran who had JUST recovered enough from an IED to resume some light shooting. I'm afraid I can't remember his name now but I salute his service and his courage during his recovery!

By GOD we need to do this again! (I'm going to say, tentatively, early November).

Sorry my 10/22 kept jamming so much. I will bring better mags in November. I remembered to bring my camera but forgot to take any pictures...

My friend Andy and his wife enjoyed shooting. Their two daughters asked questions about the guns on the trip home so I guess they weren't completely turned off by the experience.

I'll bring my full-auto 9mm Uzi and suppressor in Nov.

Nice to meet you guys.

Mike D.

MikeD99999999999999999999999999,

It was nice to meet you and THANK YOU for the opportunity to fire the ultimate zombie slayer. That little Ruger Rocked and I enjoyed shredding that paper plate.

I also enjoyed the 9MM and the .22 silenced pistols. You have convinced me that I need one.

Here are 2 pics that Google's Picasa didn't eat:
