U.S. legislator warns of Bush plot to merge Canada, the U.S. and Mexico

I'd love to see Alberta in the US. Maybe one or two other western provinces. The rest can stay where it is.

All of mexico can stay where it is.

However Mexico can stay on its own. Mexico offers nothing but more poverty and crime. I can not understand why our "leaders would desire to include them.

Cheap labor pool and uneducated people are easier to control. In order for the one world idea to work either the rest of the world comes up to our living standards or we move down, which do you believe will happen.

A lot of the incredulous are fighting really hard to NOT see The Bull in the China Shop.

Lala-la lala-dee, Nope I don't see it, it ain't th,,,,,,,,,,

Yeah, and there is no gun control ANYWHERE,, too!

Jerry

I guess it's the "path of least resistance." IE, it's easier and far less depressing to dismiss this as "tinfoil hat paranoia."

Look at it this way folks....like the old story about the knight and the monk:

ONE of us is wrong - but who has more to lose? :uhoh:

Canada and Mexico are both on the verge of splitting up ... as a result I seriously doubt that we're closer to some sort of North American Super State.

The idea of adopting Canada does not bother me at all

I guess you're not paying close attention to what is going on up there culturally. Canada, since Trudeau, has been the engine of multiculturalism in this hemisphere. Their aim is a socialist autocracy.

Canada and Mexico are no more on the verge of splitting up than we are.

this plot better end with about a dozen extra stars on old glory. We have the economic, political and military weight to this "partnership".

If this isn't assimiliation then its a fabrication of lunacy and incompetance.

this plot better end with about a dozen extra stars on old glory.

I doubt it will, as far as I can tell it is an attempt to create a American (Continent reference not USA) Version of the European Union.

How this works is the North American Union would have it's own Currency that would replace those of member nations, and it's own Constitution which would take precedence over any member Nation Constitution or equivalent (Basically making the others null & void) after it does that it progresses to Erase all borders between Member Nations and their internal states and eventually turning the union into an new nation which would be ruled by a small number of Elite individuals in a Parliament of sorts.

All of it is done by incrementalisem gradually and firmly extinguishing any Sovereignty.

Think I'm wrong? go research the European union and see for yourself.

If it got a few more stars on the flag I wouldnt mind it all that much. But other posters are right. It is just a step on the path to a North American super state, along with the European super state, the forming South American superstate, the forming Asian super state under Russia and China, and Africa and the middle east up for grabs. 1984 seems to be shaping up to reality.

It would be nice if folks would separate the highway system from the rest of the politics of this NAU. Far more rational discussions might occur.

Suggestion: Look at the comparative volume of trade for the US with Canada and Mexico, versus other countries.

Think about what travel would be like here in the US, if fifty years back they hadn't started what we now know as the Interstate Highway System. Try a trip from NYC to LA via non-IH routing--and imagine those semis right there with you in the absence of IH-95/40/30/10. Then figure what it would be like in another fifty years.

What's now the IHS began with the "Interregional"--now I-35--from San Antonio to Dallas. A Texas Highway Department idea from the late 1940s. Ike picked up on the idea and the rest is history. Anyhow, at that time the businessmen of Austin whined that it would kill business in Austin; folks would blow right on through town and not stop'n'shop.

Yeah, right. Austin's gone from 100,000 to a metro area of over a million as that Evil Interregional ruined the place.

So what's the amount of haulage, the volume of business gonna be in 25 years? Fifty years? We're gonna stay static? No population or economic growth? Suggestion: Compare today's GDP with that of 25 and fifty years ago. Then get out your crystal ball.

And spare me the moans about Eminent Domain. This is a Public Use deal, not Public Benefit. Thank Gov. Perry and the Special Session of the Lege, this last summer. Eminent Domain is how you have your Interstates. It's also how you have the lakes you fish in and waterski on. Oh, and that supply your drinking water. It's how you have oil/gas/water/sewer pipelines, as well.

So: Back to the NAU and how it could impact our civil rights. But focus on that, and don't get all exercised against things that enable your present standard of living, and the future thereof.

The only benefits I see to such a move are the USA finally adopting the metric system, cheaper oil from Canadian tar sands, non-conflict diamonds from Canada. Oh, and real Mexican food that doesn't bite you in the "end" ;)

Seriously though, Aaron Russo just warned about this and how it could very well happen. You'll find a link to the authorized release in my sig.
I'm scared that if Americans won't rise up to oppose this, nothing will motivate them to.

Might come about, at least partially, whether anyone in the U.S. tries to do anything about it or not.

If the Quebecers ever vote to secede from Canada--and they've come close--then the maritime provinces would be physically cut off from the rest of Canada. Seems then that Newfoundland & Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island might then ask to join the U.S.

You know what the problem is with most folks here in THR. They just stick their head in the sand. I bet most of these folks would have laughed and called the Patriot Act tinfoil hat material back in the 1970's....

Either they treat this thing as "tinfoil hat" stuff, or they simply think that it is government incompetence or corruption.

The worst thing you can ever do is underestimate your enemy. To think he is a fool, or acts without reason. When you believe that, you search for no reason. When you search for no reason, you are neutralized.

Do any of you really believe that the U.S. Government can't close the border? Do you really believe it is because of politics or corruption? The only reason millions of Mexicans cross the border is because the government NEEDS them to.

Ironic isn't it? That someone from Europe has to go through pure hell to become a citizen, but Mexicans have, for decades, essentially received amnesty and acceptance into America?

What is happening in America is identical to what is happening in Europe. Except in Europe, they are importing Muslims.

Folks, this is the final stage before the logical conclusion of socialism. The final conclusion being total socio-economic collapse. The stage before that is trying to find a way to pay for all your entitlements. This is done by subsidizing and then hoping and praying that those who foot the bill remain subservient or "melt" into the pot. A gamble that has failed each and every time throughout history.

Europeans are doomed. Their birth rates are at 1% or less. Some countries will have a smaller population by millions in 30 years. Due to modern medicine, people are living longer, and that life costs money - especially when they do not work or cannot work. The Muslim world is nearly 1/2 the age of the European world. They are young and in need of work. They also breed like crazy..upwards of 5% often as high as 12%.

Remember, to keep the population even, that is no growth, every couple must have 2 kids just to replace themselves. For positive growth, they must have at least 3. This has not been the case in Europe, and it is happening in America.

Our socialist systems (we're not capitalists) are like a HUGE PYRAMID SCHEMES. It constantly needs new recruits to pay in otherwise it all comes down fast. Someone might ask, why can't the existing population maintain themselves. Well, the answer is simple. Socialism is a system of greed, envy, theft, extortion and inefficiency. It breeds sloth. Expectations and demands are greater than the productivity, therefore, it is always a downward trend. Government never, ever pays out what it takes in. But even if it did, the wasteful nature of collectivism destroys enough of the revenue collected that it is never truly reinvested in the people..

So, who's going to grow the economy large enough to keep up with greater and greater demand for entitlements and increased life expectancy as well as the never ending government lust for more power and money?

It has to be someone willing to work, breed and accept high taxes --all with minimal political participation. Can you say immigrant?

There are unintended consequences though. These people we let in may or may not assimilate. This is in part because of the mass quantities of them. Assimilation and transformation into an American cannot happen if motivators (having to learn English, having to conform to American ways) doesn't exist because there's enough of where you came from here that there's no incentives. Every other peoples who came here came in controlled amounts, even if it appeared to be large immigrations. This isn't the case anymore.

To make matters worse, the leaders of these people have agendas based in historical grievances. The Mexican leaders believe their mass migration to America will reverse what happened to them in the 1800's when American migration to the region cost them these lands. In Europe, the Islamic leaders are radicals and are highly hostile to anything not Islamic. They truly believe that they will conquer Europe from within and Islamify it - and they are. Already, they are 20% of the population of some European countries and they are already making significant demands as well as combating established cultural norms in their new countries.

The Europeans are so desperate, that a few countries are now paying couples /women to have more than 2 kids. For each child greater than 2, they receive a government check per month, per child. To assist with the costs and encourage birth rates.

The individual people immigrating are not bad, but their leaders are. And their leaders lie to their people and portray anti-immigration politics as "racist" or "oppressive"....They undermine the nation. They create hostility.

Look to history. The Western and Eastern Roman Empire ended up doing the very same thing. They kept on farming out the heart and soul of their nation both economically and militarily, till their nation (people and ways) became irrelevant. And those who inherited it ultimately showed little loyalty when the SHTF.

We will see a North American Union one day. We will be exchanging "Ameros" instead of Dollars. The writing is on the wall.

Some people have been on this one for a year or two now, and it is no secret anymore. It is important for all to understand that it is well underway though - full steam ahead. And that their "republican" party in Washington at the leadership level is not going to budge in their support of it.

Yes watch Europe and see your future. Its about more than just a highway. Its about undermining the American people and putting us in a position of weakness. What I said before should have summed it up. Build a highway from Mexico right up the country and drive the final nail into the heart of our middle class. We sold out our industrial base to Asia in the last 20 years, we will now sell out the trucking industry to Mexico. When that happens things get bad even if you dont drive a truck. Gone are the 15-20 dollar an hour factory jobs, gone will be the 30-50 thousand dollar a year trucking jobs. Whats left they call a service economy (thats moving to India) that doesnt pay the bills, the idea of a service economy is as flawed as saying a husband and wife can make a living doing each others laundry you cant grow money by shaking it back and fourth :banghead: . Once were broke and helpless socialism looks like a good idea to most and we shift more in that direction. But to support the socialist beast we need cheap slave labor. Thats where Mexico comes in, and Canada jumps on board as well. Socialism for all its worth turns to communism quite quickly left unchecked, and history has shown all communist governments become corrupt with power. Power is the objective in Washington, by any and all means they will grab it. So when some politician in Washington does something that makes little sense like not closing the border its for a reason. Oh and before I forget "Why should I worry about the trucking industry" you ask. Because if you work in Health Care those truckers and their families insurance pays you salary, if you work at an auto plant those truckers buy your cars, if you sell patio furniture they buy that too. Trucking is a huge industry in this country and selling it out to Mexico is among the worst they can do.

good gosh

Well,
it seems I have learned some more since my last post at the start of this thread. Those links are . . . sobering. I am sending them in emails to friends that will stand for discussion. I always like to be critical, not easily jumping on band wagons, but all the evidence appears to support this scenario. But the thing is, and many of you will understand what I mean, we have felt it in our 'bones' our whole lives...we just needed to see what it was that we felt. We were born suspect, we were born to observe and alert others, it's our job, and there's little we could do to stop even if we wanted to. Like an instinct. Be prepared.

While I usually agree with Art I certainly do not support a half mile wide
highway through the center of my state of Texas, the idea and this is often
stated "it will help the economy" is perhaps true but when we need to learn
is "sometime" what helps the economy is not good for America, simply put
money is not always a good thing.

I believe cheap labor, outsourcing, transfer of manufacturing to the third
world will in fact increase profits for some in the end it weakens America,
and for certain a North American union will be the final blow.

It would seem that many who understand creeping incrementalism, within anti-gun laws, cannot see the application in this topic.

Give a fraction of an inch and they will stretch it out to a mile.

Yeah, I could make a bundle, helping to build that highway, but the end price (losses) will be staggering.

Jerry

Anyone who has objectively analyzed our economy and speculated where it will lead understands that the futur holds an economic depression much worse than any in our history. Almost everything is made either in China or some other third world country. We export little besides green toilet paper that goes down in value every day. It's just a matter of time before all the exporters decide they don't need our worthless "dollars" any more and they can supply their own robust growing countries.

So....

What the heck are we going to need "guest workers" for when jobs are going to be scarce?

Another set of links for the doubters:

http://www.eagleforum.org/topics/NAU/

Who cares? Why does it matter to shooters?

1) The odds of the NAU adopting our view of the 2A/RKBA, as opposed to the Mexican/Canadian/UN/transnational view of civilian disarmament, are about zero.

2) When "immigration reform" a/k/a "amnesty for illegals who are fortunate enough to be able to walk into the USA" is signed by the President by 5/1/07 (I'll bet sooner), the electoral ratio of freedom voters to statist-socialist voters will be (I fear) irrevocably tilted towards the statist-socialists. At that point, the political "soft war" for freedom becomes a cruel farce, at best.

3) Once the existing American legal, political, and economic structures (including but not limited to gun issues) begin to be "normalized"/"conformed to international standards" in the wake of #2, each one of us on the freedom side of the coin will be officially persona non grata, and we will need every Friend we can get.

The stakes in awakening Mr. and Mrs. America for '07 and out years will literally be life and death for freedom lovers. Only by awakening a heckuva lot of American people to their rights and duties under the American constitutional republic will we have a chance of watching our children and grandchildren grow up and have babies......

Please help in the Awakening...... http://rwva.blogspot.com

wingman, what you or I "like" about the future of the economy and its necessary features is purely irrelevant. I don't like the idea of another several thousand trucks a day coming out of Presidio through Marfa and Alpine, but you, your relatives, friends and neighbors--and I--are buying "stuff" that's on those trucks.

Anybody here from Austin, or been through there in recent years? I remember when 45th St. and Guadalupe was the north end of the city. When the intersection of Manchaca Road and South Lamar was the west end. That hill with all the TV towers by Lake Austin? I've deer hunted there, some 55 years ago.

Where Loop 610 crosses I-10 used to be the west edge of Houston.

Ya'll look fifty years ahead.

THAT's why I say separate the physical from the political. Me, I'd dearly love some openness about all this "NAU" realities.

But it seems to me that you don't lose national sovereignty without treaties. Treaties must be approved by the Senate. An NAU would diffuse the powers of Congress, due to the need for accords/agreements with Canada and Mexico. No person in power wants to give up any power; they want more.

The NAFTA treaty has conditions which are not being met by Mexico. (I don't know about the Canadian end of the deal.) One way to influence the Congress against an NAU is to harp on this lack of meeting treaty obligations. Pollution, for one thing; enlist the Sierra Club as an ally. Add all the other enviro-folks. "It's for the children."

Yell, scream and squall for public hearings and House/Senate hearings. It made a difference after Ruby Ridge and Waco.

A better way to influence Congress is to vote the bums out.
Re-elect NOBODY. Gridlock is good.

Oh... you noticed that too, did you?

Yep, the bad guys paid big time for those little escapades.

Joe Everyman has become as impotent as a harem guard in our brave new world.

Then go down fighting, bravely.
