I have a Remington by Uberti, and a 1860 Colt by Pietta. Both are supposed to be .44 calibre, but the Colt shaves a nice lead ring, where the Remington does not. Is .44 different for Uberti? I would be curious to know what folks think as to the quality of one versus the other. For me the Uberti seems to be a little "Finer". Certainly the action is better, but that could also be due to the fact that its a Remington and not a Colt reproduction. It's been difficult for me to do a side by side comparison, since there are no vendors in my area that have both. I'll have to rely on the hard-core gunners out there to answer the question.
