I just think it is funny that they mandated the optic. If they hadn't I and probably many others would have stuck around after Prod nats to shoot CO back to back with regular production gear.

I liked someone's idea to tape a toilet paper tube with saran wrap over the end to their slide as their CO "optic."

Agreed. And it seems to be a break from how hey used to handle similar situations. I want to say I got my initial Open Division classification shooting a bone-stock Glock 23, back in the day. Just because I could.

Haha! That takes me back. I shot the Knob Creek subgun match in 2006, and wanted to shoot in as many classes as I could. So for the Closed Bolt / Optics category, I cut the top and bottom off a pop can for my "optic" and taped it to the top of a Reising. It was disallowed, and I ended up shooting with a borrowed MP5 instead.

If there's one thing we can all agree on, it's that trolling people with fake optical sights is the very soul of wit.

That would be interesting depending on what dovetail options are available. What is it?

^All I know is it was made by Dr. Middlebrooks, some time ago.
