Wal-Mart Attack: What Would You Do?

Okay, maybe we should leave our opinions of Wal-Mart or any other store to ourselves and concentrate on the original posting...which was what would you do in a similar situation, wherein we might just learn a thing or two.

Thanks,

I know because Law Enforcement used to work security at Walmart. On nights when I worked it was not uncommon to bust 3 or 4 people stealing in a four hour shift (often employees).

One day some shmuck from Walmart got on national TV and told the entire free world that Walmart wasn't going to prosecute shoplifters anymore. At about the same time they canned all the cops who were working security and replaced us with rent-a-cops.

Since that day, computers and TVs have been walking off the shelves so fast I honestly can't understand how they keep anything in stock.

Now the cops are still at Walmart, except now we're only there to take larceny reports after people load two or three computers into a cart and wheel it past the "greeter" at the front door who then proceeds to helpfully tell me he has no idea what the guy with the mountain of stolen electronics looked like.

Seems like the best way to conduct oneself in this scenario is to be absent from it.

Failing that (after all, we none of us are immune to necessity...I'll say no more), try lurching out of the store and screeching randomly at the sky. Claw at the air in front of you and cry out for your flowery bonnet. Finally, be sure to meow passionately at anyone you pass.

Sounds nuts, but it works for me. I don't take kindly to strangers approaching me in the dark, especially in the depths of Wal Mart.

Couple of grap n rapes happened around here (KC). One girl from a Target parking lot. All evil needs to prevail is for good men to do nothing. I would start hollering and wave my arms and move towards them, hoping that would be enough. But if it didn't, lethal force may be required if I sincerly believed he was trying to abduct her.
I do not want to live in a society where people just look down when they see evil.
