Local big gun store sent out an email alert to their club-member customers they will have the Federal 555 packs for $29.99 limit one per, 400 bricks total in the order.

I still think paying that much for 22s is ridiculous. Darn glad I stocked up at one third that cost years ago.

Evan, the price for everything goes up over time. I just bought some bricks at Walmart for 23.99, a few bucks extra at a gun store isn't so bad. The problem is that the costs for the components has risen. Pellets for my .177 pellet guns cost around a penny per, and for the good ones it costs closer to .02 per. Costs for the cheap .22 pellets are right around 9 dollars for 500, so I would think that .22 bullets/cases/primers for 10 bucks for 550 is a thing of the past, even if the supply could easily meet the demand.

Costs for components have not risen an appreciable amount.

Not nearly in the amount retail ammo has.
