I been running into different reviews some say to sell a long gun it must go FFL to FFL out of state sales.I also here ATF rules say No a private party can sell a long gun over state lines as long as he ship it to the FFL dealer and the dealer does the out of state transfer to the new buyer of the rifle ???
I stop a small shop to day on a out of state purchase and she stated she has no problem on the sale on long guns or transfer as long as it is sent by FFL to her shop

You can't sell a long gun to someone in a different state, so if the two of you live in different states, you'll have to send it to an FFL in the buyer's state. To do that you'll have to ship FedEx/UPS, and some FFLs will accept shipments from individuals, others will only take shipments from FFLs. So you may have to have an FFl in your state ship it to one in theirs, or you may be able to ship it to an FFL in their state.

In general (I think rules for inheriting guns may be different), a firearm transfer between individuals who are not residents of the same state must go through an FFL.

In the case of a long gun transfer, the transfer can be done through an FFL in the buyer's state, or through an FFL in the seller's state so long as the transaction is legal in both states (i.e. it is legal in the buyer's state to buy guns out of state, and it is legal in the seller's state for an FFL to sell to nonresidents).

In the case of a handgun, the transfer must be through an FFL in the buyer's state as an FFL can only transfer a handgun to a resident of the state in which their business is located.
