I've been curious what people are selling during this panic. My nephew had some Glocks he didn't want anymore so decided that now might be a good time to sell. I helped him sell several guns, which sold quickly. In the process we sorted thru his ammo stash. He had about 800+ rounds of 9mm, which, as you know, is selling for crazy prices. But, I suggested he keep them.
I've been selling guns (and buying too), but I've been doing that for years. The panic hasn't effected me much, except when finding reloading components. Planning a tour today of all my favorite gun haunts, just to see what's out there. So what have you guys been up to?

Not much. I did sell some primed brass on here recently, but more as a favor to a fellow THR member than because I needed cash.
I have people asking to buy reloads in calibers I don't even reload for, and 2 that I do. Sorry. My paranoia about ATF stings aside, it just isn't happening. I don't buy reloaded ammo (Black Hills aside, and I haven't bought any of those in decades), and I don't sell it. I got stupid once and shot someone else's reloads my son had given me. Got a squib for my reward. Never again. Best way to get any from me is be one of my sons. Also the best way to get guns from me.

Don't plan on selling anything. Matter of fact I'm looking to buy a few things still. Funny how this round is working out. Mags and AR's are plentiful. Guess they aren't moving due to there being nothing to put in them. I had what it had before this round of panic, and I had it for a reason, that reason wasn't to sell it off.

I've sold some ammo (for chamberings I don't even own) and scopes at the crazy prices that people are paying. I keep intending to offer a couple (or more) guns for sale, but haven't actually done it.
Surprisingly, in 2020, I've bought 5 of my biggest gun bargains ever, but that was in the 1st half of the year. Bargains on any guns I'm interested in are pretty much non-existent now.

It seems the panic pricing locally here has faded months ago, which means I'm less inclined to sell. Availability of firearms is still lower than ever, but pricing hasn't stayed high. Not sure why.
Maybe a higher % of people in your area already have plenty of firearms and won't pay up if prices are increased?

Sold several shotguns, about a dozen handguns and have one more rifle on consignment at the local LGS. Since he only charges 10%, it is one less hassle to deal with. Trying to downsize what I have and any replacements will be of higher quality/higher end guns.

Not selling anything at this point. I am using my well stocked ammo/reloading supplies to continue doing what I do. I did send (for free) a good friend some shotgun ammo for his son cause he couldn't find it locally.

I'm not selling ANYTHING. The odds seem way too high that I'll need to use it.

I'm GIVING away to a co-worker some random 12ga. bird and small game loads that I don't need since I'm not a hunter, and a crappy '03-A3 clone and some extra ALICE ammunition pouches to another friend.

I'm not selling anything,,,
But I sure have had a lot of offers to buy some of my guns.

One friend who has three trigger-happy boys,,,
Wants me to sell him three of my single-shot .22 rifles.

I'm not going to do that though,,,
He simply needs to teach his sons some discipline.

I sold a Mini 14 during the first Obama panic. I paid $400 and got $700. I won’t make that mistake again. Look what they’re selling for now.

I sold a few guns I hadn't shot in a while into the pre-election demand. I also took a risk, selling an AR I liked but wanted to upgrade. That worked out okay; I was able to replace it with a more desirable model on a black Friday sale.

I currently have 5.56 for sale on my local armslist by the box, 500, or 1k lot.

I've sold a few small lots of components, but mostly I don't need to buy anything.

I recently sold a Savage MK II just because I didn't like it. Yes, I got my asking price with no quibbling and immediately bought another gun. This one I like.

I sold a Browning BLR, one of the early 2 years only made in Belgium models, in .308 last week. Included some ammo and it sold for approx. 4x what I'd paid for it in the '70's. It was my hunting rifle in NY, but cannot be used as such where I live now.

Early on in the pandemic I sold off 1000 rounds each of brass 9mm and Russian steel .223 for double what I'd paid for it. Would be considered giving it away at those prices now.

If ammo prices continue to hold at their present level, I might be tempted to sell off some more.

Not selling.
Really, I don't have that much "extra" that wouldn't be dumb to put on the market. Sure, there are couple of items that would bring in more dollars than I paid, but less after inflation, and with less buying power in the present situation.

If I had something I had bought in 2000 for $400 and sold it for $600, that looks like a profit. Except $400 in 2000 dollars is about $615 in 2020 dollars, and given present pricing on firearms is only about $350-400 in present purchasing power.

No plans to sell any guns. Plus, I really don't have that many to begin with and have nothing I want to sell.

When this all started I had a couple of friends ask if I had any guns to sell.

Ammo wise the only stuff I might sell is a decent amount of .30 carbine that I might never use aince I no longer own an M1 Carbine.
