Looks like the extractor. How many rounds on that one?
Oops! Got a better look. Broke off just to the side of the extractor.

Shot my Gen 2 Glock 22 today. This was the first Glock I ever bought, somewhere around 1993ish. I remember I bought it out of fear that they would be outlawed. I was younger then....

Anyway, still love it. This gun has shaped my shooting opinions and skills more than any other, probably more than all others combined. Pity I only pull it out and shoot with it a few times a year....I'll try to work on that.

Took out the 10/22 to sight in new red dot I got for it. Then took the old sight and slapped that one on the 9mmAR i built and sighted that one in

So about 200,000 plus rounds?
That number wouldn't surprise me. It has had a variety of different rounds through it, but the overwhelming majority is green tip. A distant 2nd place tie between M193 and steel case wolf, probably. I don't do round counts on this gun, and I don't even bother to gauge it, since its strictly a range training gun. In fact, I rarely even bother to do a "deep cleaning" any more- about all it gets is a wipe-down on the BCG, a chamber swabbing, more grease to the BCG, and motor oil applied with a paint brush to the exterior metal.

Heavily modified Romanian AK. Just wanted to get a good 50 yard zero on it. One notch up on the rear ladder sight. It’s my truck gun. Hits Minute of Man out to 100 yards.

Paid the indoor people $45 for my brother and I because it was snowing and cold. ($19/day x2 plus targets) Yea, im a wimp. We popped off around 350 in the AR's and some 10mm just for fun. I really like my new brass catcher from Cadwell. Cant pickup brass off the range floor but if it never hits the floor its mine. Recovered 100% of what we shot! Love it.

I just finished building out a 10" 5.56 pistol, with a KinetiTech Brake and Flash Can. When they tell you that 5.56 in a short barrel is loud and flashy. . . believe them. This is a Starting Charge of AA2230 under a 55gr pill.

I would have taken a picture without the Flash Can, but I was afraid the blast would damage my phone.

Tested some 155 xtp's in my G23 and shot some factory 9mm in my new G48. As usual the Glocks functioned flawlessy. The G48 will be my summer EDC.

Taurus PT709 Slim. Didn't even fall apart this time. Glock 19 every day carry for 10+ years. Solid as a rock. Ruger Vacquero in 44-40 that I inherited from my younger brother. Trying out different loads and bullets. Since the 44-40 was originially a black powder cartridge, I tried one set of loads with 777 black powder substitute. Did I mention I was at an indoor range? After 5 rounds, the entire 9 lane range was out of commission until the smoke cleared. Ooops! Understandably, the owner was not happy. I probably should have quit after the first round! Thankfully there was only one other guy shooting. Won't do that again.

Today's range trip was the Remington 700 ADL in odd-six, 14 rounds of delinked M2 ball at 50 yards. It helped remind my why I bought the other rifle I brought! The CZ527FS in .223 Remington, 20 rounds of UMC 55gr FMJ offhand and 10 rounds of a reduced velocity hand load I cooked up with H4895 and a 55gr Nosler Varmageddon HP bullet. Also at 50 yards. Initial results are very promising on the reduced load.

Then it was capped off by 48 rounds of .45 ACP at various steel targets out to 25 yards. Ammo was reloads with W231 and 230gr powder coated RN bullets. As usual the Colt just chewed 'em up and spit 'em out.

Hoping to go again next Saturday AM, the CZ527FS just got new eyes and it will need to be zeroed. Oh, what a chore...:D

Bombarded metallic silhouettes with my 22LR T/C Contender. Have it now sighted for chickens, pigs and turkeys. Rams are the next challenge.
Punched paper @25m with a Pardini HP32, tested the last batch of 32 S&W Long WC handloads, worked pretty well. Must make much, much more of these for the summer.

My M&P .22, '94 Sig P228, SAR-1 (Romy 'AK') and a friend's beautiful MN 44.
That very attractive 1943 Mosin carbine shoots tight groups. Luckily the bore was Not damaged by neglect regarding corrosive primers, nor harsh rod cleaning at the muzzle.

What's the best thing about qualifying on the club's Action Pistol ranges-but despite only 25 or 30 yards max. distance limitation? Almost like hidden private land compared to covered ranges.

You can freq. go back and forth to the berm to set up any plastic target ball (from Academy), loosely tethered to a metal stake to stay on the berm (very bouncy ball!), or very short chunks of dead tree limbs etc sprayed orange.
You have it to yourself and very seldom (on weekdays) hear any range officer in a golf cart. Rifles are the objective more than handguns.
