Don't know. With him, what he carries probably would not matter. If somebody needed to be shot, Jerry can 'git 'er done' more times and quicker than most folks could with a subgun! I sure would NOT want him shooting at ME!

Agreed, but on the other hand his thoughts on the subject could possibly be invaluable to us sloths. It's possible that he has thought of things that have never occurred to us.

Jerry Miculek is one of the nicest guys I've ever talked to, but I'm guessing his response to that question would be the same as mine would be: "Carry gun? What carry gun? I don't know what you're talking about." Call me paranoid, but that's a question I would answer only for a handful of trusted people.
As for conjecture, I'm guessing is a customized (Lew Horton, or C&S, or JM) 3" revolver of some flavor.

That is a good point but if he only wanted to answer hypothetically it still might be invaluable.

He is listed as a Louisianna Concealed Carry Instructor so I don't know why he would be keeping it a secret. I will give him a call and get the info that way and I will probably share it with most of you but you nay sayers are gonna just have to stay un-informed.

Probably nothing. Could you see the legal problems of a Champion Marksman in a self defense shooting.

Jerry has shot handguns of all types and persuasions through the years, autos and wheelguns and he's fantastic with 'em all, as well as long guns and scatterguns.
I would venture a guess that his CCW gun is generally a S&W J-frame lightweight, since they are so easy to CONCEAL with great comfort.
Then again, as others have suggested, give him a call if you are truly wanting to know. He's pretty accessible.

He IS from Lousiana....so of course he carries...everyone in that state does.Whatever he carries,he's faster than ANY bad guy(or good guy)..the man is amazing.

I really don't care what Jerry carries. I don't know that it'd work for me, anyway, cause I ain't Jerry Miculek by a long shot. Carry what works for you. Jerry can get 15 rounds out of a J frame faster than I can dump 15 out of my Ruger P85. Me, if I'm going in harms way, I carry something I might not need to reload, LOL! I love revolvers, but I'll never be a Jerry Miculek, I don't care HOW much practice I get.
