Just felt a little whimsical... so... if you could have a reliable manufacturer give a whole-hearted effort at designing and producing a handgun, what would it be? Semi-auto revolver in .500 S&W Mag? A Chiappa Rhino style revolver in .480 Ruger or .327 Fed Mag? A polymer framed 7.62x25mm? Another attempt at a semi-auto magnum (a little competition for the Desert Eagle)? A lengthened .25 Auto? I am sure you have all thought to yourself "Why doesn't __(insert gun company)__ make a __(insert gun type)__?"

...c'mon, be creative, not schtick. What guns would you guys be interested in seeing produced (even if for novelty's sake)?

They made a few, but supposedly didn't sell them in the USA-

A 4" J-frame with adjustable sights chambered in .32 H&R magnum, but it'd sure be cool in .327 magnum

What I would line up to buy would be a High Power stretched and beefed up just enough to be chambered in 10mm. I have one in 40 S&W but would like one that could handle the more powerful round.

Smith and Wesson made, many years back, a steel semi-auto in .22LR that had a DA/SA trigger mechanism. It was like a little M39. I'd like to see something like that again, maybe even with a polymer frame, something like a P32 Kel-Tec in size.

4" Ruger Super Redhawks with a GP100-like barrel profile.

Single-stack, compact Glock 9mm.

Thumbs up to this!

I have never understood why Ruger has not offered the SRH in a 4" or better for me a 5" barrel.

A thin, light, full size, 8 round single stack, 9mm would be much more comfortable to carry IWB than the bricks currently made. Something as thin as a Keltec but with better build quality for durability.

Yer gonna laugh,,,

But I would like to see someone make a break-open action, .22 single shot pistol similar to the old Stevens guns.

Rossi makes one but it is huge, clumsy, and only comes with a second barrel for .45 Colt.

This would be a gun for leisurely plinking.

My daughter has a break-open .22 - the Rossi Youth model, and It comes with a 410 barrel.

I wish HK would import the accurized HK94SG1 again - I so so so regret not buying one ! Man I kick myself for not buying it !!!

I wish someone besides Kel-Tek would make a light-weight, polymer, locked breech .32 ACP semi auto.

Kahr maybe?

I wish Beretta would make the Model 86 again with the tip up barrel.

I wish H&K would make the P7 series again

Nom de Forum

Mainly because I never have taken much of a fancy to the GP100 series. I have always liked the design of the Security Six and would simply like to see it back in production. While I'm wishful thinking I would also like to see the Colt Detective Special, Cobra, Agent, and Diamondback being made again, preferably by Colt.

+1 on the new Colt Detective Special.

The other thing I would buy in a heart beat would be a polymer framed pistol chambered in 32 ACP with a full 4" barrel and DA/SA decocker/drop hammer safety like a Beretta....like a brand new Colt 1903 Model M or a Beretta Model 81/82 only polymer framed.

VooDoo

A Commander Length, Bobtailed Colt Delta Elite with a Drop In 40 S&W Barrel

A Webley top break with a decent trigger and modern metallurgy, strong enough to stand up to a steady diet of .45 ACP.
