What have you done in the reloading room today

I just dropped in ingots to refill the pot and it was warming. I fluxed it after it was up to temp. I don't want to pull the antimony I just added back out
Gotcha....I was uncomfortable looking at that photo. :)

Maybe try ramshot hunter or sw 4350...

I don't see a lot of those.... Ramshot or ShootersWorld... powders where I'm at, and certainly not 8#ers. The H4350 is a special case... I use it to load just the 6.5's, for 3 different rifles that I don't normally have access to, and probably a 4th, soon. I've already worked the loads up with H4350, so that's why I have to stick with that. It's also one of the reasons why I'm just going to stick with the 142grn SMK... ALL of the rifles like it. It's pretty hard to say no to that.

Took a break from tumbling (and gave y'all a break too) and deprimed some 257 Roberts brass that I got from FROG0207. Also stored away an order of powder and bullets that arrived today from Powder Valley.

Probably back to tumbling tomorrow. Bad weather is back in the forecast for the next several days! :(

I've come to think of H4350 as the Swiss army knife of rifle powder. I use it for all my hunting loads in .257 Roberts, .30-06, .338 win mag, and .375 H&H.

It will definitely be sad times for me if I can't find any more when I finally use up my 8 lbs.

Worked my butt off for 7 hours today loading 1000 9mm rounds with 5.1gr BE86 and RMR 124gr matchwinners. It's so satisfying seeing the end result of your hard work:)
7 hours would make a long run loading. Never cared much for plastic ammo cans. Good for brass, but I've had the handles pull off when full of ammo or bullets. I usually fill up a metal 50 cal can of handgun ammo when I need it. I work in stages and it may take me a week or two to get it done.

I also work in stages, brass prep first, then priming, today was just loading the prepped cases. I took some breaks during the session so I didn't get too fatigued and make a mistake. I like the plastic ammo cans they're cheap (like 8 bucks). I always scoop rounds out of the bigger cans into smaller ones for range trips.

Picked this up an extra die plate (tool head), powder measure linkage, and powder measure for my PC7. I was looking at getting another die plate (tool head) and linkage, but wasn’t planning on getting another powder measure 😬. It was used and a reasonably good deal 👍.

Did some cleanup. I’m hoping to work a load up for some 38/357 mag “tweenners” tomorrow… I thought about 10-11 gr of true blue. I also thought about 10ish gr of Longshot. Hmmm…. (but I have the deer hunters expo and I’m hoping to finish up my taxes tomorrow… ya anyway)

Finally prepped enough 38 Special brass to load the rest of my trial box of Berrys 148 DEWC. Minimum charge of W231 from the Lyman Cast Bullet manual for a 148 grain solid wadcutter was the most accurate.

I never was a big plastic ammo can guy, but I've come around on that, and not only because they are asking stupid money for beat up USGI ammo cans. My idea was those small Harbor Freight ones would be easier to manage, and would hold a fair amount of bulk ammos... without being too heavy.

Loaded up 25 rounds of .308... adjusting my load down from my initial ladders with the new 169grn SMK, which gave me insane pressure signs. Just 3 different charges of IMR4064, a grain and a half less than my original ladders. My goal is to duplicate the 168grn FGMM factory round with a muzzle velocity of 2650fps. I'm down to just 2# of IMR4064... barely 325 rounds of .308 left. :(
