what is the craziest "deal" you have seen recently for 9mm?

Target Sports has Gold Dot 147JHP for .80/round - which is the normal price - shipping included when you buy a full case of 1000; it's the only 9mm they have in stock

I check them every morning. I think it was Monday or Tuesday morning they had Federal FMJ, Speer FMJ in 124 and 147gr in stock for $20 a box. Checked back 10 minutes the federal was gone. Clicked on the Speer 124 gr, showed 10 left. Refreshed and it was gone. About 10 minutes later the 147 gr was all gone

I was supposed to get a text when the Speer was back in stock......hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I have seen 115g ball ammo as high as $1k for 1k rounds.

At the moment $750-800 per 1k seems to be the going price, if its even available.

Things are pretty unbelievable right now and it doesn't seem like it's going to get any better in the foreseeable future.

the prices have to do with more than panic buying, thus pushing. up demand and price. We are just seeing the beginning of runaway inflation, due to the printing of money. Such practice always devalues dollars. Hang on to your ammo fellas; you might have to trade it for bread.

AIM Surplus just sent me an email saying they have Wolf steel 9mm, walk in only, for $12.95 a box, 1000 round limit.

While that's currently a decent price, it's almost exactly twice what they were charging a few months ago.

AIM is known for doing the right thing, if their prices are jacked up a little, I'm guessing they're having to pay more themselves.

Again, in the scheme of things, that looks to be a really good price at the moment for any 9mm.

I just picked up 1000 rounds of 124 Blazer Brass 9mm from a major firearms retailer for $260 delivered today. I can deal with .26/round for stuff that should be .18/round. But .60 or 1.00/round for this stuff is simply gouging and taking advantage of the unprepared and the gullible. The fact that a few reputable firms still sell at slightly elevated but not abusive prices proves that some others are indeed gouging.

I submit that if we simply refuse to pay these ridiculous prices, some semblance of normalcy will return sooner. And we should all remember who is gouging now, for the future.

The reason I am still buying ammo at closer to normal prices when opportunities arise, is to support several training classes and competitions I have between now and November, without depleting my normal stock, or throttling back on training. The slightly higher prices are worth the difference to me.

Local big box store was offering "Case of 9mm -- $350" When I asked about it, they couldn't tell me: 1) how many rounds were in the case, 2) weight of projectile, 3) brass or steel? they really didn't understand what I was asking here, telling me that armour piercing ammo was illegal. But the real kicker, the one that kicked me out the door was 4) delivery date? They had no idea how long you'd have to wait!

Nice price. I’ve been checking a bunch of different sites and have flagged a bunch to notify me when stuff comes back in stock, haven’t found anything quite that cheap yet.

Makes me glad while recovering from surgery in January I ordered over 7k 9mm Bullets. Now, they are comfortable loaded in 50cal ammo boxes. Don’t get me started on how many 223’s I loaded too, I believe the corner of my garage is settling, lol. I forgot to mention the 5k 357’s too. I love having access to a Dillon, sure beats my RCBS and Lee stuff.

I gave up completely on Cheaper Than Nobody when "As Special Return Customer" they offered me a 100 round box of CCI 40 grain round nose Mini-Mags for $99.99 plus shipping. My advice is when ammunition comes down to near normal prices (if it ever does) buy all you can, not a box here and there. This is happening with more and more frequency. Re-loaders take heed. Even big box stores are out of supplies.

Getting any kind of ammo is difficult and expensive.

I picked a bad time to start putting together a Polymer 80 9mm! :D I've never had a 9mm before, so I had no ammo. A few days ago, I ordered the cheapest thing I could find (which was probably twice the price of several months ago). 5 boxes of Tula steel case ammo from SG Ammo. At least it's something.

Not 9mm, but I just bought 3 boxes of 45ACP 230 FMJ, from CCI Blaser for 17.99

Where are all those new reloaders supposed to get primers?
Primers have become available here and there but they are being sold out fast. You can follow this "Where are there reloading components ..." thread and act fast when members post available primers - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...mponents-available-these-days.707473/page-199

You could also consider substituting Small Pistol Magnum or even Small Rifle primers for reloading 9mm with slight reduction in powder charge to compensate for larger and longer duration of primer flash.

During the "Great Component Shortage", I "paid it forward" over 20,000 primers and if you lived closer, would gladly PIF you some primers. But Texas is like 3000 miles away from me.

I'm sure by most peoples standard I have a lot of ammo but it doesnt ever stop for me. Especially during a situation like ours at present, I will pick up whatever I can that is reasonable.

Anyway, I dont know if this qualifies as a crazy deal but my buddy just sold his only 9mm so naturally I asked if he had any ammo he wanted to part with and I got 105 rds of FMJ WWB, 50 rds of HornadyXTP JHP and 20 rds of HST's. $40 all in. I think that's a decent deal more or less.
