What is the last gun that you bought?

First gun I bought myself was a Beretta 92FS, at the first local gun show after I turned 21. A few years later, had to sell it to pay closing costs on my first house. Been kicking myself ever since. Yesterday, I picked up a new M9 (wanted the straight dust cover). Brings back memories, but my memory didn't include that trigger pull. M*CARBO kit on the way, hoping to try it out soon.
Forgot the obligatory pic

And, got the M*CARBO spring kit installed. Could not believe the difference (only other trigger mod I have ever done is a Timney in a Remington 700). Can't wait to get some range time!

Hi...
Had a Virginian Dragoon .357Magnum on layaway at a local gun shop that I made the final payment on Saturday.
Unfortunately, the Pennsylvania Instant Check System was down and they couldn't let me take possession of my paid for property. The gun shop said the system was also down on Friday until late in the afternoon.
They are closed on Sunday and Monday, so the soonest I will be able to take possession of my property is next Tuesday.

Frustrating!!!

Used Beretta 1301 Tactical -- doesn't appear to be fired. Just ordered Aridus mount, Holosun 509T, and a Vickers sling. Buckshot to follow.

Excellent choice! I love mine. I resisted getting one for years...I was issued and owned personal 1187P's for almost two decades and thought, "How much better could it be". Then I bought a 1301...and sold my Remington.

I just ordered this from a civil war militaria dealer. It should ship tomorrow so I might get lucky and have it by the weekend.

It's an original pattern 1853 Enfield made by the firm of R.T. Pritchett & Sons of London who shipped arms exclusively to the Confederacy. Supposedly the barrel has excellent rifling and no rust or pitting.

I've noticed that I sure do like a lot of your guns, so I'll be interested in hearing how you like the Plus

This is my first time out with the M&P 9 Shield Plus. So far I'm liking what I'm seeing; build quality is solid, the gun is nicely assembled, and fairly tight. Ergonomics are spot on and overall the gun feels just right in my hand. Sights are fine and easy to pick up and the new trigger is very good with a short take-up and a quick reset.

Two things I don't quite care for are the sandpaper-like contact points on the polymer portion of the gun. Somewhat abrasive and is not a comfortable feeling after handling the gun for awhile, I will lightly probably sand it down some until I reach a point where they're not so annoying but still provide for a sure grip.

My other point of contention is with the manual thumb safety on the frame. It's extremely small, hard to get to, and rather tight fitting. It kind of reminded me of a Browning Hi-Power I use to own which required a plastic mallet to get it in the ON position and another whack to move it to the OFF position! On the Shield I'm hoping it will loosen up a bit with use as it does do a great job of blocking the trigger from being pulled when it is engaged.

Impulse bid on this Mossberg MC2C last week on GB, threw out a low enough that I didn't think I'd win. Picked it up yesterday afternoon from my FFL.

Haven't shot it yet, but just handling it I'm thinking I might prefer it to my 365XL w/ Macro grip. With the 15 rnd. magazine inserted, they're nearly identical in size.

@bannockburn -- Thanks for the update.
.... Sights are fine and easy to pick up...
Just as an FYI, the slide cuts for the sights are the same as the 1.0, and presumably for the 2.0. I had a set of night sights on my 1.0 and had them moved over to the Plus.

Go slow and check it frequently. I sanded mine for the same reason, and it took all of about 20 seconds worth of sanding to get it done.
