58 here but I definitely do not have more time or money. Seems like the better I do the more everything costs. Always 1 step forward and 2 back.

Well...

I'm 19 (just barely, by 3 days), but compared to some of the kids in my dorm (in terms of maturity and physical age) I feel like an old man... :)

Cheers,

-Chris

58 and first handgun in 2008

I bought my first handgun in 2008 and since have collected 8 more. I always wanted a handgun, (they're almost taboo in my part of the State), and now that I have a better income, I'm indulging. The problem is my bucket list just keeps getting longer, not shorter.

Am 75+, don't have much time for this, have to pick up my girl friend, called down and made sure my Vette was ready, I hate tipping these guys, oh well, should be a good time tonite, have all I need in my wallet:)
Will have my Minga .380 in my ankle holster.

You are only as old as you feel---well, I feel extremely old.
the feeling started when I passed 39 and was close to 41--something like that--I think

I turned 30 two months ago. Sucky age honestly - too young to be old, and too old to be young :).

If you are saddled up with any number of freshmen, it'll pass eventually. Been a while for me but I remember the Freshmen in particular acting insane back in the college days. It was literally like you took a bunch of children and turned them loose without parental supervision, but without the harsh realities of the working world to force maturity. Most of them will mellow by graduation, and the ones who are too far gone won't return for year 2 anyways.

38, but don't be too quick to tie these age groups to love-of-the-sport, gun-ownership, etc... the interwebz has its demographic too. Young pups and retirees (and those of us who spend too much time on conference calls) play in forums and don't necessarily mirror the real world.

Age and Time

In basic training I was issued an M1 Garand, the next year the Army adoped the M14 and a cople of years later the M15 Colt.
At 67 soon to be 68 the last two age catigories bother me except those older guys other than our members are not computer savey. I am not either.
I still have my Winchester M1 eith black nylon stock, the 03A3, M1 Carbine and 45 from the NRA a lot of years ago.
This is a great hobby from black powder to more modern firearms, however, one reaches a point where it is time to elimate some hardware cause lets face it you just cant take it with you.
I just tore down about 300. 270 Win rounds that are over 40-50 yrs. old. Most of the bullets had creen copper corrosion on the bottom of them. The powder was caked in most which I scrapped out and then deprimed the cases and scrapped them. Alot of unfired stuff and will not have time enough in my life to use up the bullets.
My point is: don't leave your old ammo for someone else to fix cause it could be dangerous to a relative/friend or unknown. My kids in their 40's shoot all the ammo I can make in pistol. but the rifle ammo, a hundred rounds I have just sits. Be Safe

Old enough to collect S.S., but that's all I'll give up! I was taught not to ask someone's age unless it was necessary.
