My reloaded 124GR HST's. As others have said the right bullet with the right powder is very accurate. It took me only 3 different loads to find the sweet spot for that bullet. I carry Winchester Ranger T's +P+.
yes. im sure it would be ok to carry. it recommends not to use them. Are you using these in a firearm not rated for +p ammunition?
nice awards. ive seen a lot of good videos on the gold saber. it even beat out the HST 147 AND 124 in one test on utube. I hear the fbi used to use them...Hornady HAP rounds for target, and Gold Dot or Golden Sabre for defense loads.
think the 124gr. is the perfect balance?Speer Gold Dot 124GR...but I like near any of the "name" makers in this weight...

how do u determine the "sweet spot"?My reloaded 124GR HST's. As others have said the right bullet with the right powder is very accurate. It took me only 3 different loads to find the sweet spot for that bullet. I carry Winchester Ranger T's +P+.
"Federal classic 9bp. Cheap enough to practice extensively with and still good enough to carry. Has a proven record..
This post caught my interest so I looked into this stuff a bit. I found a video showing this stuff to penetrate completely through blocks of balistic gel, and into a couple water jugs, and STILL not expand at all.
Yes, it's inexpensive, and I'm sure it'll go 'bang' everytime, but this older ammo isn't nearly as effective as the more contemporary offerings discussed already.
115GR has caused some issues in my shorter barreled pistol (but this may also be that it was cheaper made cartridges too)...
Q: "What is your favorite 9mm JHP cartridge? "
A: 9mm Kurz
Speer Gold Dot 124GR...but I like near any of the "name" makers in this weight...

Yes my favorite 9mm JHP cartridge is the 9mm Kurz.
Did I misread the question?
