I asked Brownell's but they didn't know!
According to the 7.62 x 54R website, the ejector/interrupter screw is English 55 degree Whitworth pattern, 32 tpi, outside diameter 0.156" and length from shoulder to end of 0.150" Unfortunately, on removing it, somehow it got cross threaded and will not go back in again, no way no how.
Here is the screw:
Any ideas on which tap will do the job, or given the diameter and length of screw needed, some suggestions with more commonly available taps/screw combinations to make this right again. I don't care if it isn't "original" anymore, I just want that ejector band spring screwed tightly onto the receiver, back where it belongs.
Thanks!
