Springfield XD 40, 3 inch



I own a Glock 27 and a Springfield XD9MM and next month I'm getting this one (to use as my carry weapon)

Well, I made my decision. I went out last night to my favorite gun store and found a Springfield Armory XD .40 cal. Tactical with the 5" barrel.

I almost got one of the newly released Citadel M1911 ($549.00) $20.00 more but I really like the features on the XD line.

It was regularly priced at $559.00 but they had it on sale for $529.00 so I snagged it and brought it to it's new home.

It was the package deal with 2 mags, mag loader, holster and dual mag holster.

I'm joining a new (outdoor) range tonight so I hope to get some rounds through it by (preferably before) this weeekend.

I dry fired the display model and it has a very nice trigger pull plus it has a nice balance for a 5" barrel.

If I only had $500 and didn't have the patience to save more money, I'd buy an Essex/Caspian 1911 frame and slide for a project.
