I have two absolute, never sell, favorites.
First is my S&W Model 41
This gun has been completely reliable with standard & high velocity ammo and a pure joy to shoot.
I have owned it for about twenty years and it has fired many thousands of rounds at targets and small game. It is my go to go for serious shooting.
The only repairs made are replacing springs every five years or thereabouts.
Second is my Manurhin/Walther PP
A pistol I consider perfectly sized for the .22 rimfire.
Now this gun took some sorting out.
I have always been told the magazines hold ten rounds, which they do.
They also don't feed for doodly when loaded with ten rounds.
A little research taught me the guns are actually meant to be loaded with 8 rounds.
Do so and they feed perfectly with good quality standard or high velocity SOLIDS.
Mine doesn't do real well with most hollowpoint ammo, though Winchester Dynapoints hum through it without a hiccup, (Go figure).
Standard velocity is best with Federal Champion the clear winner in the accuracy tests.
Once I got all the bobbles sorted out, this pistol has fast become my favorite packing around .22 and pure fun plinker.
